Metal bracket
The metal bracket (13) prevents a workpiece being caught by the cutting disc (2)
and being hurled at the operator.
The metal bracket must always be mounted during operation.
Upper protective guard
The upper protective guard (1) prevents accidental contact with the cutting disc (2)
and stops workpiece parts and cooling water from being flung out.
The upper protective guard must always be mounted during the operation and can
be lowered to the workpiece.
Lower protective guard
The lower protective guard (17) prevents accidental contact with the cutting disc
(2) and stops workpiece parts and cooling water from being flung out.
The lower cutting disc cover must always be mounted during operation.

1. Keep the work area clean.
> Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.
2. Consider work area environment.
> Do not expose power tools to rain. Do not use power tools in damp or wet

3. Guard against electric shock.
> Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces (e.g. pipes, radiators,
ranges, refrigerators).

> Do not let persons, especially children, not involved in the work touch the tool
or the extension cord and keep them away from the work area.
5. Store idle tools.
> When not in use, tools should be stored in a dry, high or locked up place, out
of reach of children.
6. Do not force the tool.
> It will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was intended.
7. Use the right tool.
> Do not force small tools to do the job of a heavy-duty tool. Do not use tools
for purposes not intended, for example, do not use circular saws to cut tree
limbs or logs.
8. Dress properly.
> Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery, they can be caught in moving parts.
Non-skid footwear are recommended when working outdoors. Wear protective
hair covering to contain long hair.
9. Use protective equipment.
> Use safety glasses. Use face or dust mask if working operations create dust.
10. Connect dust extraction equipment.
> If the tool is provided for the connection of dust extraction and collecting
equipment, ensure these are connected and properly used.
11. Do not abuse the cord.
> Never yank the tool to disconnect it from the socket. Keep the cord away from
heat, oil and sharp edges.
12. Secure work.
> Where possible use clamps or a vice to hold the work. It is safer than using
your hand.
13. Do not overreach.
> Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
14. Maintain tool with care.
> Keep cutting tools sharp and clean for better and safer performance. Follow
instructions for lubrication and changing accessories. Inspect tool cord
periodically and if damaged have them replaced by an authorised service
facility. Inspect extension cords periodically and replace if damaged. Keep
handles dry, clean and free of oil or grease.

15. Disconnect tools.
> When not in use, before servicing and when changing accessories such
as blades, bits and cutters, disconnect tools from the power supply.
16. Remove adjusting keys and wrenches.
> From the habit of checking to see that keys and adjusting wrenches are removed
from the tool before turning it on.
17. Avoid unintentional starting.
> Ensure switch is in the “off” when plugging in.
18. Use outdoor extension leads.
> When tool is used outdoors, use only extension cords intended for outdoor use
and so marked.
19. Stay alert.
> Watch what you are doing. Use common sense. Do not operate tool when you
are tired.
20. Check damaged parts.
> Before further use of the tool, it should be carefully checked to determine that
it will operate properly and perform its intended function. Check for alignment
of moving parts, binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, mounting and any
other conditions that may affect its operation. A guard or other part that
is damaged should be properly repaired or replaced by an authorised service
centre unless otherwise indicated in this instruction manual. Have defective
switches replaced by an authorised service facility. Do not use the tool if the
switch dose not turn it on and off.
21. Warning.
> The using of any accessory or attachment other than those recommended in
this instruction manual may present a risk of personal injury.
22. Have your tools repaired by qualified person.
> This electrical tool complies with the relevant safety requirements. Repairs
should only be carried out by qualified persons using original spare parts,
otherwise this may result in considerable danger to the user.
HEALTH ADVICE
Warning! When drilling, sanding, sawing or grinding, dust particles will be
produced. In some instances, depending on the materials you are working
with, this dust can be particularly harmful to you (e.g. lead from old gloss paint).
You are advised to consider the risks associated with the materials you are working
with and to reduce the risk of exposure. You should:
- Work in a well-ventilated area.
- Work with approved safety equipment, such as those dust masks that are
specially designed to filter microscopic particles.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR TOOLS
> Do not use diamond discs which are damaged or deformed.
> Replace table insert when worn.
> Use only diamond discs recommended by the manufacturer.
> Take care that the selection of the diamond discs is suitable for the material
to be cut.
> Wear suitable personal protective equipment when necessary, this could
include hearing protection to reduce the risk of induced hearing loss, respiratory
protection to reduce the risk of inhalation of harmful dust, wear gloves when
handling diamond discs and rough material.
> Never use blades on this machine.
> Use only diamond discs for which the maximum possible speed is not less
than the maximum spindle speed of the tool and the material to be cut.
> Faults in the machine, including guards or diamond discs, should be reported
as soon as they are discovered. Never use the machine without the guard in
position.
> Maximum size of working piece should be 1m².
> This tile cutter should be used with limitations on ambient conditions (between
15°C and 30°C).
> The machine must be supplied through a residual current device (RCD) having
a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA.

Unpack
> Unpack all parts and lay them on a flat, stable surface.
> Remove all packing materials and shipping devices if applicable.
> Make sure the delivery contents are complete and free of any damage. If you
find that parts are missing or show damage do not use the product but contact
your dealer. Using an incomplete or damaged product represents a hazard to
people and property.
> Ensure that you have all the accessories and tools needed for assembly and
operation. This also includes suitable personal protective equipment.

Fitting the cutting disc
WARNING: Product damage!
Be sure to observe the rotational direction of the cutting disc when
fitting! Be sure to observe the free-wheeling of the cutting disc when
fitting!
NOTE: When fitting make sure that the cutting disc is placed correctly
on the inner flange. The inner flange can be moved freely on the
motor shaft and has a section for holding the internal hole of the
cutting disc. The hole of the outer flange is not round and is used
for the interlocking connection with the motor shaft.

Mounting the upper protective guard
to the metal bracket
WARNING: Product damage!
Do not over-tighten socket head bolt (27) and locking knob (14).
The upper protective guard (1) must be free to rise and fall as the
workpiece is pushed towards the cutting disc.
> Unplug the tile cutter from the mains supply.
> Push the upper protective guard (1) onto the metal bracket (13).
> Push socket head bolt (27) through upper protective guard (1) and metal
bracket (13).
> Push the flat washer (28) onto socket head bolt (27).
> Screw and tighten locking knob (14) onto socket head bolt (27).
> Cover the cutting disc with the upper protective guard (1).
> Ensure that upper protective guard (1) can move freely and that it cannot touch
the cutting disc.

Setting product for jolly cuts

> Raise the 45° vertical fence (3) approx. 45°.

> Ensure that the 45° vertical fence (3) is correctly secured before working.

Filling the product with water
NOTE: Product damage!
Fill the product with water only until water can drain from the
opening in the plug.
During use the water level must never drop below the MIN
marking.
NOTE: Product damage!
Fill the product only with clear water. Never use chemicals
or cleaning agents. This can cause irreparable damage to the
product.
Drain cooling water out of the product on completion of the work
(Refer to “Replacing the cooling water” section).
> Unplug the tile cutter from the mains supply.
> Raise the 45° vertical fence (3) approx. 45° and remove.
> Insert the water reservoir plug (16) into the drain opening.
> Fill the tank with water only until water can drain from the opening in the plug.
> Ensure that water just cover the disc edge (no more than ¼ of the disc
is submerged in water).
> When you have finished cutting, remove the water reservoir plug (16) inside the
tank to drain the water.

The product must be mounted in a stable position, i.e. on
a workbench, a universal subframe or similar.

As soon as a malfunction occurs, push the red 0-Button on the
On/Off Switch and pull out the mains plug.

The defect may be put into operation only if no defects or errors
are found. Ensure that any defective parts are replaced before
the product is used again.
Check the safe condition of the product before plugging the power cable:
> Check whether there are any visible defects or faults.
> Check whether all parts of the product are firmly attached.
> Check that the safety devices are in faultless condition.
> Check that the cutting disc can run freely.
> Check there is sufficient cooling water in the product.

> Before switching on, make sure that the voltage of the mains supply is the same as
indicated on the rating plate. This product is designed to operate on 230-240V~
50Hz. Connecting it to any other power source may cause damage.

WARNING! Before switching the tile cutter on, make sure that you
have read and understood all of the safety instructions. Make sure
also that the machine has been correctly assembled and adjusted.
Make sure that the mains is disconnected from the supply when
the tile cutter is not being used, or adjustments are being made.

Maintain an adequate distance from the cutting disc when cutting.

Do not reach into the working range of the spinning cutting disc
while the product is operating.
NOTE: Product damage!
Carefully check the workpiece to be machined. Foreign bodies
such as nails, screws or similar can seriously damage the product.
NOTE: Product damage!
The product is not suitable for cutting materials such as marble,
fine stoneware and granite. Tile floor made up of these materials
must not be cut.
NOTE: Product damage!
Wait until the cutting disc has reached its maximum speed before
commencing work.
NOTE: Product damage!
Before commencing work, check there is sufficient cooling water
in the product.
NOTE: In the case of complex cuts (mitre or jolly) we recommend
making a test cut beforehand.

WARNING: The disc will continue to rotate for a few seconds after
the machine has been switched off. Wait for the disc to stop before
removing the workpiece, or making any adjustments.
This tile cutter shall be used only to cut tiles to a required size or shape. It shall
not be used to cut inflammable, explosive or toxic materials.
Other uses for the machine will lead to the damage of the machine and a series
of dangers to the operator. This appliance is for private and household use, not
for professional or industrial ones. Only identical accessories as the ones provided
with the tile cutter are authorised. Never use the appliance in the rain or other
wet conditions.
On/Off Switch
WARNING: Risk of injury!
Always pull out the mains plug in case of power failure (disconnect
the product from its power supply). The product will start-up
automatically as soon as power is restored.
Switching on:
> The product can be switched on by pressing the green I-Button on the On/Off
Switch (6).
> Wait until the cutting disc has reached its maximum speed before commencing
work.
Switching off:
> The product can be switched off by pressing the red 0-Button on the On/Off Switch
(6).

Stop the machine immediately if there is undue vibration or some other fault. If
this situation continues, check the machine to find the origin of the fault.

Making a straight cut
Adjust the parallel cutting guide (11) to the desired width. Use the locking knob to
loosen or adjust the guide. Position the tile firmly against the parallel cutting guide
(11) and pass through the cutting disc in a smooth action. Hold the edges of the
tile and press down firmly to prevent the tile lifting during the cut.

Making a mitre or diagonal cut
Follow the same procedure for a straight cut but use the mitre cutting guide (10)
in conjunction with the parallel cutting guide (11). The mitre cutting guide (10)
simply clips onto the parallel cutting guide (11).
Make sure that the tile is held firmly in the guide before making the cut.

Cutting an angle or bevel
Use the 45° vertical fence (3) if you wish to cut an angle or bevel on the tile edge.
Raise the 45° vertical fence (3) approx. 45°.
Fold out the holder and set to the desired angle in the locators. Then make the
cut as before.
Internal or external bevel cuts can be made by turning the tile face up or down
(internal – eg. wall corner; external – eg. window reveal).

The golden rules for care

WARNING! Always switch the product off, disconnect it from the
power supply and let the product cool down before performing
inspection, maintenance and cleaning work!
> Keep the product clean. Remove debris from it after each use and before storage.
> Regular and proper cleaning will help ensure safe use and prolong the life of
the product.
> Inspect the product before each use for worn and damaged parts. Do not operate
it if you find broken and worn parts.
WARNING! Only perform repairs and maintenance work according
to these instructions! All further works must be performed by a
qualified specialist!
General cleaning
DANGER: Risk of electric shock!
Never spray the product with water or expose it to water.
Never use detergents or solvents for cleaning. This can cause
irreparable damage to the product. The plastic parts can be eaten
away by chemicals.
Careful handling and regular cleaning ensure that the product remains functional
and efficient for a long time.
> Remove any dirt using a brush.
> Wipe down the product with a slightly damp cloth.
> Keep ventilation slots clean and free of dust.
Replacing the cooling water
DANGER: Risk of injury!
Dirt deposits can have sharp edges. Use clear water to remove
dirt deposits.

> Place a suitable collector below the product's drain opening.
> Remove water reservoir plug (16) and drain off all the dirty cooling water.
> Filling the product with water (Refer to “Filling the product with water” section
on Page. 19-20).
Replacing the cutting disc
WARNING: Risk of injury!
Always wear protective gloves when replacing the cutting disc.

The metal bracket must always be aligned parallel to the cutting
disc.
Removing the cutting disc:
> Raise the vertical fence (3) approx. 45° and remove.

Power cord
> If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a safety hazard.
If you need to replace the fitted plug then follow the instructions below.

The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
Green & yellow - Earth
Blue - Neutral
Brown - Live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond
with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows.
The wire which is coloured green & yellow must be connected to the terminal which
is marked with E or .
The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the terminal which is marked
with N. The wire, which is coloured brown, must be connected to the terminal, which
is marked with the letter L.

NOTE: If a moulded plug is fitted and has to be removed
take great care in disposing of the plug and severed cable, it must
be destroyed to prevent engaging into a socket.
If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by a service
agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazard.

> This product does not contain any parts that can be repaired by the consumer.
Contact a qualified specialist to have it checked and repaired.
> Apart from diamond discs there are no other user serviceable parts inside this tile
cutter. Refer to qualified service personnel if internal maintenance is required. Any
worn, or damaged parts should be replaced immediately by qualified personnel.
Keep discs in good condition. Poor condition or worn discs can increase the noise
level emitted.
> If the supply cable is damaged, it should be replaced by the same type of cable
as the one provided and recommended by the manufacturer (H05 VV-F 3G0.75
mm²). The supply cord of the tool and any extension cord used should be checked
frequently for damage.
> If damaged, have the cordset replaced by an authorised service facility. Replace
the extension cord if necessary.
Storage
Warning: Risk of injury!
Store the product so that it cannot be switched on by unauthorized
persons.
Ensure that nobody can injure themselves on the product while it
is stationary.
NOTE: Product damage!
Do not store the product unprotected in a humid environment.
> Store the product and its accessories in a dry, frost-free place.
> Always store the product in a place that is inaccessible to children. The ideal
storage temperature is between 10 and 30°C.
