2. Product introduction
Thank you for purchasing this monitor. The features it includes allow this monitor to
perform many different applications and you should retain and refer to this manual for the best
possible benefit.
This monitor was designed to work independently as a stand-alone video monitor or with
an optional, attachable camera module. The camera module communicates with the monitor
when used in Public Display applications and provides motion-based switching and a media
card player control.

(1) Install locations for Public Display Monitor has a broad range, including for example, general
store shops, traffic intersections, offices, and apartment complexes etc. After installing this
product, it will persistently function as broadcasting and monitoring systems to its max.
(2) Public Display Monitor basic functions and benefits:
1. This product perfectly combines multimedia (Card Reader) functions, as it is a
professionally integrated design, to provide ideal broadcasting space for sophisticated
Public Displays of fluid and refined image presentation.
2.
The Public Display clips are managed as files that can be automatically broadcasted
sequentially.
3.
Supports light-and-sound-effect movies, photographs and various formats that can be
broadcast randomly.
4.
The text scrolling function can be edited to display instant notice messages or unique
Public Display contents.
5.
Two sets of built-in video cameras (optional) with adjustable angle and filming distance
(with optional zoom lens) for different environment needs. The video camera is hidden
inside the body of the unit which not only lessens the uneasy factor for the visitors
being monitored, but also will not conflict with your interior design.

When the motion sensor (PIR) is tripped, during Public Display broadcast the PIP will
instantly be started to alert the visitor “Video monitoring in progress”. This makes the
broadcast more interesting while adding to the impression made, at the same time the
operator will be able to monitor the visitor’s actions.
(3) This product can also function as a system integration platform, such as connection to
VCR/DVR, and camcorder, alarm, media player etc. equipments for different requirements.
For example:
1.
Connecting VCR/DVR to the back of the unit so when the motion sensor (PIR) detects
objects moving, the recording function can be started to capture the view in front of the
screen.
2.
With the matching alarm setup, the operator will easily be notified with the arrival of a
visitor, and will be able to spontaneously monitor the visitor’s actions on screen.
3.
This Public Display Monitor features a video and audio looping out design that
connects to multiple Public Display Monitor or AV display to achieve a TV-wall like
full-blown effect.
(4) Please follow the description in preceding chapters to get used to setup and operation of
this product. This will enable you to fully grasp the ins and outs of this product and maximize
its benefits.

4. Hardware installation
This chapter will describe the proper installation methods for this Public Display Monitor
System.
(1) Packaged
When you first open the Public Display Monitor packaging, please make sure the
following items are included in the package box and are not damaged. If you should find
that any single item is damaged or missing, please immediately contact your retailer.

Installation procedure:
Items A, B, C1, C2, D and E are all pre-installed out of the box, please proceed to
affix items F, G and H to where planned to set up this device onsite. Refer to below
step-by-step instructions to finish installation:
Step 1: Install angle bracket (H) on ceiling of designated location.
Step 2: Affix Ceiling Mount (G) to the pre-installed VESA Adapter (F) on the LCD
Monitor with screws provided in the accessory box.
Step 3: Integrate ready assembled items A to G with angle bracket of ceiling mount (H)
with special screws provided to avoid falling off.
Step 4: Take out AC Power Cord from Cable management cover and plug in AC Power
Socket.
Step 5: Adjusting Cameras:
a. Remove the plastic face in front of Camera and Media Module (3 screws).
(Figure 4.2.1) .
b. According to directions shown in pictures (Figure 4.2.2) below from “F” to “N”
and “A” to “B” adjust Zoom (Far - Near) and Focus.
c. According to directions shown in pictures (Figure 4.2.1) below “L” to “R” and
“U” to “D” to adjust horizontal and vertical angle of camera lens.
d. Put back plastic face in front of Camera and Media Module (3 screws).
※ Note!! While adjusting Zoom (Far - Near) and Focus of board camera, be sure to loosen the rod (refer to
Graphic 4.2.2) so as to avoid damaging internal mechanics of the lens.

5. Operation instructions
This chapter will guide you to each of the function settings and control of Public Display
Monitor.
(1) LCD Monitor panel button
A. Light sensor:Switch to power saving mode during nighttime
B. Remote control receiving window
C. MENU /EXIT:Enters or exits the OSD setup screen
D. SOURCE (signal):Selects the main screen of video signal source
E. VOLUME /-:Lowers the LCD display built-in speakers output volume level
F. VOLUME /+:Raises the LCD display built-in speakers output volume level

※This product that includes a remote control can be used to switch between LCD display and multimedia

(3) PIR and Card Player
3.3.1 Adjusting PIR
1. Dwell Time ON/OFF switch.
2. Dwell Time adjust: Switch to "ON" then turn “TIME” clockwise to extend dwell time of
sensor mechanically, counter clockwise to shorten dwell time of PIR sensor. Switch
to “OFF” then “TIME” is disabled and the OSD option of LCD monitor control the
dwell time of PIP.
3. Camera Video Output selection switch: Select "1" and the image of Camera 1 swaps
with image of media card reader; select "2" and the image of Camera 2 swaps with
image of media card reader.
4. Sensitivity adjust: turn clockwise to increase sensitivity, and tune counterclockwise
to decrease it. (Sensitivity increase indicates that PIR sensor responses to the
moving object further away at longer distances from the device. On the other hand,
sensitivity decrease indicates that the PIR sensor only responses to objects moving
within a shorter distance.)
3.3.2 Installing CF Card and SD Card
5. SD Card Slot (Insert SD card at the specified location).
6. CF Card Slot (Insert CF card at the specified location)
※Note: Insert SD or CF card correctly. If the insertion direction is wrong, the card will be blocked and can
not be inserted. Just change the direction and insert again (do not for the card to be inserted to prevent
damage of the machine or the card).
7. CF Card ejection pin: To eject CF card, hook the ejection pin out from the slot with
finger or non-metal bar, and then press upside (inside) with finger to eject the CF
card.
※Note: Normally, the ejection pin is hidden next to the CF card slot, and it is L-shaped. When the ejection
pin is hooked out, it is changed to I-shaped and protruding out of the BOX. Only at this time the ejection
pin can be pressed.

b. PVM SETUP
1. The first option when entering the OSD is “PVM” function, press RIGHT button to
enter the setup screen.
2. The PVM setup function includes Settings (IR motion sensor) and scrolling settings.
The descriptions are as follows:

(3) Trigger Type: Press RIGHT button or LEFT button to select Internal or
External Mode. When using PVM with the Alarm Output of a DVR (Relay,C
Contract), please select to External Mode,and set Relay Type according to
your DVR. Relay setting is done by changing the forth (4) option of Alarm
Mode. Set this option to either N.O.(Normal Open) or N.C.(Normal Close) so
that the system will work properly with your DVR as well as avoid causing
damage to any of the devices..
(4) Alarm mode: Choosing the tripping method for Vanish PIP starting. When the
Monitor is connected to PVM BOX and using PIR tripping, please switch to
N.C. Mode. If it is connected to other alarm devices (such as reed switch,
Relay Output connecting point of DVR, etc.), please see the Installation
Menu of the device to verify the switching mode.PIP Source: The signal
source of the sub picture opened when selecting Trigger tripping.
(5) PIP Source: Use LEFT or RIGHT button to choose the source of Sub
Window while Vanish PIP is activated.
(6) PIP Timer:Set the time until the message is shown and then automatically
disappear, press RIGHT button to increase the time and press LEFT button
to decrease the time (2~120 seconds).
(7) Msg Edit:Edit the motion sensor (Internal/External Trigger) startup message;
press RIGHT button to open the onscreen keyboard (as in figure 5.4.1)

(8) Midi Enable: Press LEFT or RIGHT button to turn on or turn off the alarm
sound that goes off when enabling or disabling PIR trigger (in the case of
Vanishing PIP).
(9) Midi Edit: Alarm sound editing; Press RIGHT button to the Midi Edit, and the
Midi Keyboard appears (as in figure 5.4.2):
A. Result section of alarm sound editing. (All defaults to “Re“)
B. Piano keys. Press LEFT or RIGHT button to move the yellow selection
block. When moving to the position of piano keys, the music scale
represented by that key will be shown in section “C“. When it is
confirmed, press "ENTER" button on the remot control to show the
selected music scale in section “A“.

(4) Speed:Adjusts the scrolling speed (to the left), press RIGHT button the slow
down and press LEFT button to speed up.
(5) Font Color:Adjusts the font color; there are a total of seven colors to choose
from (red, yellow, white, green, grey, blue, purple), press RIGHT button to
move right/select, press LEFT button to move left/select.
(6) Font Size:Set the font size; there are two modes to choose from, press
RIGHT button to switch to small, press LEFT button to switch to large.
(7) Animation: Marquee text effect, including: Standard, Sparking, Lift
(disappearing toward the right), Alternate (top and bottom interlace), Wave,
Weave, Curtain Modes. Or you may choose Sequence to play the 7 effects
in order.
(8) Back:Return to previous level.
※ After editing and returning to the main screen, the edited scrolling message will be instantly shown on the
main screen.

WINDOW SETUP
1. The second option when entering the OSD is “WINDOW” function, use UP or DOWN
button to move to the WINDOW option to automatically expand the submenu.

※ Under VGA Mode, Scan Mode and Freeze Frame functions will disappear but “auto“ function will appear.
※ PIP Adjustments option is only available when the PIP function is started, under other picture modes it
will be hidden. (please refer to the following description for the screen adjustment settings)
※ H Position and V Position functions are only available while Scan Mode is set to “Over Scan“.
2. Press RIGHT button to enter the submenu and use UP or DOWN button to select
including “Image Size, H Position, V Position, Freeze Frame, PIP Adjustments,
Layout” etc.

3. When using UP or DOWN button to move between items, the highlighted area means
the position selected, and then use RIGHT button to enter each submenu to adjust
values or detailed settings. The following are the descriptions:

6. Troubleshooting
When you experience issues with the Public Display Monitor System, before contacting
your retailer where you made your purchase, please check the following items. The most
common issue is with the connnection between the Public Display Monitor and display card or
AV equipment. We recommend that at the same time of troubleshooting, also refer to the
display card or AV equipment user manual. Please do not use a higher refresh rate than the
maximum specified by the Public Display Monitor.
