Positioning
Up to 999 APRs and associated auto-positions including
all examination parameters can be programmed. Handson, power-assisted positioning can be activated at any
time, and any adjustment can be made to system defaults when needed. Advanced software monitors all
system components in order to avoid collisions.

The inMotion technology enforces the notion of having a
highly flexible system with the capacity for high patient
throughput. It offers safe transitions to pre-programmed
positions through the auto-position linked directly to the

SmartHandle
Automatic operation with smooth, power-assisted
movements ensures precise and easy positioning of the
detector and tube, even for complex DR examinations.
The ergonomic SmartHandle controls up to 3 movements
in the X, Y and Z plane at the same time.
User interfaces
A large 12” floating touch screen on the tube displays
and controls the SmartHandle movements, and tilts to
keep text horizontal to the user at all times. Short and
simple menus and self-explanatory icons guide the user
through the DR process. Integrated access to generator

Image #3. A strong and expanding range of high
quality flat panel detectors from Canon is the
cornerstone in Adora system configurations. The Canon
detectors and CDXI control software provide fast, high
quality, digital image capture on demand and cover an
extensive range of radiographic examinations.
Adora can be configured with one detector to be used for all examinations (see below
for list of primary detectors). In addition to the docked detector, Adora supports up to
two portable detectors. Thus, ergonomics and examination flexibility can be further
enhanced by adding e.g. a small wireless detector to the configuration (see page 9 for
optional detectors).

User-interface
The Adora ‘SmartHandle’ is provided at the X-ray tube control console for easy manually controlled, motorised positioning: enables hands-on, power-assisted positioning in
all three dimensions, and is safe in operation by means of the InTouch technology
with light indicating active state at the base. It can be activated any time for manual
operation, e.g. minor adjustments of pre-set auto-positions. A 12” LCD touch-screen
displays the SmartHandle movement modes with self-explanatory icons, positioning
data and system messages. The graphics and text on the display auto-rotates to
match the tube housing angulation, thus maintaining a natural horizontal viewing
orientation (here examples from the identical DRFi). . Preview and generator controls
are available on the tube touch screen.
A removable control panel is provided on the patient table for table movements and
activation of auto-positions (not shown here).
An LCD in-room information monitor is provided in a position of individual choice, displaying patient data: name, selected APR, system messages etc.
1.10 Imaging control software
Canon’s CXDI Control Software NE provides an optimized workflow which reduces operational steps and supports multiple study acquisitions. The software delivers high-resolution images, generator communication for preset X-ray parameters, as well as actual exposure factors and patient dose information in the DICOM header. Three levels
of access can be set for specific user requirements.

3.1
Automatic Image Stitching
A simple three-step, automatic approach to stitching based on image acquisition from
both standing and supine patients.
Hardware
The stitching panel rotates forward from behind the
patient grip stand for image stitching. Both grid and
air-gap technique (variable patient-detector distance)
can be employed. A patient step is also provided.
Image Acquisition
Automatic software-controlled acquisition of up to 5
images with automatic motorised tube movements.
Ability to adjust the stitch area to reduce radiation
exposure. Dedicated stitching push-button for full
acquisition sequence with a single button press for a
quick and seamless acquisition.
3.2
inOrbit for iso-center Tracking
Enables operators to make different exposures of the same anatomy by changing the
angle of either the tube or the detector. The technique has been developed to make
the tube and detector rotate on an imaginable sphere, and is highly useful in examinations where multiple precision images of the same anatomy are needed.

4.1 Ceiling hoist system
The patient ceiling hoist system is indispensable
for handling immobile, elderly and overweight
patients. Consisting of an integrated patient
ceiling hoist and lifting sling, it enables staff to
manoeuvre patients into position with minimum
hassle and maximum ease.

4.2 Table side hand grips
Grips to be fixed freely along both sides of the
table for increased patient comfort.
4.3 Paper roll holder
Mounted on the patient table when laminated or
unlaminated paper is used for hygienic coverage
of the table.
