BFGM
USING A STEREO BLUETOOTH TRANSMITTER
IN ORDER FOR THIS FUNCTION TO WORK A CELLULAR PHONE
MUST BE PAIRED AND CONNECTED
When listening to audio from a stereo Bluetooth receiver the audio will be interrupted (not
paused) when a phone call comes in.
Controlling your stereo Bluetooth transmitter via AVRCP:
Play/ Pause – Not functional through the radio control.
(Use the controls on your external device).
Track Forward – Press the seek> button.
Track Back – Press the Seek< button.
USING THE STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS
All other buttons on the steering wheel controls are
defaulted to send the conversation to switch back to privacy
mode (back to the cellular phone).

Verify that the paired device supports AVRCP functionality.
RANGE ISSUE
Bluetooth standard range maxing out at 30 feet, may vary due to environment.

Delete all previous pairing attempts and try again.
Make sure the cellular phone is within range of the module (30ft.).
Make sure the signal reception of the cellular phone is strong.
Make sure the module is on and paired to a transmitting device.
Make sure the volume is adjusted correctly, check both the radio and
the transmitting device, and other items within range of the module.

HANDS-FREE BLUETOOTH INTERFACE
FOR SELECT 2006-UP GM VEHICLES
Scosche’s BFGM Bluetooth Interface will allow you to wirelessly communicate with your
Bluetooth enabled cellular phone and Stereo Bluetooth transmitters. The BFGM communicates
directly with your factory radio allowing you direct control of hands-free, voice dialing, and
A2DP functionality. These interfaces maintain the original integrity of important diagnostic and

from purchase. This Scosche product is sold with the understanding that the purchaser has independently determined the
suitability of this product. This warranty is offered to the original purchaser of the product only. This warranty does not
cover the product if physically damaged, subject to negligence or misuse, abuse, alteration, accident, or an act of GOD.
This warranty does not apply to product which has water or physically damaged by accident or which has been misused,
disassembled or altered.
The original dated sales slip or proof of purchase will establish warranty eligibility. If the product should prove defective
within the warranty period, return the product with proof of purchase to Scosche Industries Inc. Scosche, at its option, will
replace or repair the product free of charge and return the product postage paid. In no event shall Scosche Industries, Inc.

QUICK START
PRELIMINARY: Determine whether you have an XM module in the vehicle. Press the
band button to see if the XM source displays on the screen of the radio.
INSTALL
Install the BFGM into your vehicle. See vehicle applications and find page number of your
vehicle disassembly (See harness instruction for full disassembly).
POWER THE MODULE
With the unit installed, turn the ignition key to the on position to place the Bluefusion module
into pairing mode. Press the BAND button multiple times to get to the XM source on the radio.
From the XM source press and hold
button, the screen displays “Bluefusion” when ready.
SEEK
Make sure both the transmitting device is at a good battery state.
If the item in on low battery, please recharge.
NOTE: Due to every phone having different software and functionality features, many phones
may work different with the Bluetooth module of the BFGM. We recommend contacting the
Scosche Technical Support at 1-800-621-3695 Ex.3 with any common or reoccurring issues.

PAIR YOUR CELLULAR PHONE
Set your cellular phone into pairing mode and search for a new device (See your phones
owners’ manual for operation instructions). Once your cellular phone has searched for a new
device select “BLUEFUSION” from the list. If prompted for a pass code enter “0000”.

Once the two devices have connected and paired, you will now be able to scroll through the
menu functions of the BFGM. (See page 1-3 for Bluefusion operation).

Please read and understand this entire manual
before operating the interface.
When a phone call is ended your radio will not automatically switch back to the original source
you were previously on, this feature only works when previously on XM source. At this time we
recommend using the BAND button to switch back to the original source you were previously
on. NOTE: On specific Y91 (Premium BOSE) radio’s the auto source switching will switch
back to the original source you were previously on, this feature works on any radio source.

Hold & Accept – Places current call on hold and answers the second incoming call.
By selecting the hold and accept menu you will have several options after answering the
second call.
1. Swap Calls – This option toggles you between the two calls.
2. Conference Calls – This option allows you to have more than one party listen in on the call.
3. Release Hold – Releases and Ends the call originally placed on hold.
End & Accept – Ends active call and answers second incoming call.

To answer a second incoming call press the SEEK button once and you will be prompted by
on screen by a menu that gives you the following options:

PAIRING YOUR CELLULAR PHONE
1. Turn the key to the on position (II) to place the Bluefusion module into pairing mode.
2. Press the BAND button to get to the XM source on the radio, press and hold the seek<
button and the screen will display “Bluefusion” when it is in pairing mode.
3. On your cellular phone, enter your Bluetooth menu and make your cellular phone search for a
new device. The device name will be “BLUEFUSION” and if you are prompted for a pass
code enter “0000”.
4. When the two devices are paired to each other, be sure to set the Bluefusion as a trusted
device on your cellular phone.
NOTE: When the ignition is turned off the call
will automatically transfer to the headset.

While using other sources other than XM (Bluefusion) the interface will automatically switch to
the XM source when you have an incoming phone call. The radio switches through the sources
to find the XM source on the radio, some audio may bleed through while switching sources.

NOTE: When a phone call is active and you
are re-entering the vehicle, upon turning on
the ignition the call will automatically be
transfered to the vehicle speakers. Active call
will no longer be active on the headset.
To browse your recent incoming calls:
1. Scroll through the screen menu until you see the word “INCOMING”.
2. Press the seek> to enter the incoming calls menu.
3. Using the MFK to scroll through your incoming calls, when you see the number you
wish to dial simply press the seek> to select that number. Call is now in progress.
NOTE: For Privacy Mode simply turn the radio off or change source (to FM, AM, CD or AUX).
OUTGOING CALLS
To browse your outgoing calls:
1. Scroll through the screen menu until you see the word “OUTGOING”.
2. Press the seek> to enter the outgoing calls menu.
3. Using the MFK to scroll through your outgoing calls, when you see the number you wish to
dial simply press the seek > to select that number. Call is now in progress.
MISSED CALLS
To browse your missed calls:
1. Scroll through the screen menu until you see the word “MISSED”.
2. Press the seek> to enter the missed calls menu.
3. Using the MFK to scroll through your missed calls, when you see the number you wish to
dial simply press the seek > to select that number. Call is now in progress.
VOICE DIAL - Cellular phone must have voice dial functionality in order for this to function.
To enter voice dial:
1. Scroll through the screen menu until you see the word “VOICE DIAL”.
2. Press the seek> to enter the voice dial mode, wait to be prompted by your cellular phone,
then say the name of the contact you wish to dial. NOTE: In the case where the voice dial is
not recognizing the name of the contact, please make sure the voice dial feature is turned on.
To make sure the voice dial feature is on press the seek> button twice and the radio’s screen
will display on or off. Press seek> twice to switch from off to on.
