The compressor speed is set within a range lower than normal
operation: the unit works at 60% of its nominal capacity.
The max. speed of the outdoor unit's fan is set below the
standard value.
The max. sound pressure of all new SRC outdoor units in Silent
mode becomes 3 dB(A) lower than normal operation, and in
any case lower than 45 dB(A).
NIGHT SETBACK FUNCTION
Overnight, in heating mode, it is possible to set a fixed
temperature of 10° C that will be automatically maintained by
the appliance for the whole duration setting. The next morning,
near the end of 10°C setting, the system will return quickly
the temperature to the desired daytime value, thus allowing
remarkable energy savings.
“ULo” FAN SPEED
in order to reach the highest silence, ZM series has the ULo fan
speed (see Technical Manuals).

The advanced system of fast data transmission
Superlink II is able to connect up to 128 indoor units and 32 outdoor units in the network.
It is a centralized control system that meets the widest-ranging needs of large, medium and small buildings.
The implementation of the Superlink II system greatly reduces installation costs by reducing the size of the wiring area using a nonpolarised two-wire cable. In order to harmonise air conditioning and its management, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries offers a wide range
of commands and instruments for a reliable control system. Offering easy access to computerised management of the building to be
conditioned during installation ensures the highest economic standard on the market.

SC-SL4-AE/BE, with 9” LCD Display interactive (Full Color
Touch). The display offers functions of monitoring,

SC-SL2NA-E CENTRALIZED CONTROLLER
SC-SL2NA-E central controller is connected to the Superlink II network via 2-core non-polar
wires. It monitors and controls the on/off function of up to 16 indoor units, or 16 groups
of units, for central control of up to 64 units. It also monitors and controls the following
functions for each unit, group of units, or the complete network: operation mode,
temperature set point, louver position, error code. The LCD display shows the unit or group
numbers in operation and identifies those in need of service. The timer is connected to
the central controller for on/off cycle control. The central controller can be connected at
any point in the Superlink II network, at the indoor or outdoor units. This can substantially
reduce the amount of electrical cabling required for the installation.
SC-SL1N-E CENTRALIZED CONTROLLER
SC-SL1N-E central controller is connected to the Superlink II network via 2-core non-polar
wires. It monitors and controls the on/off function of up to 16 indoor units.
The unit numbers in operation or in need of service are indicated by specific LED’s.
Up to 12 SC-SL1N-E central controllers can be installed with a Superlink II network, controlling
a total of up to 128 indoor units.

LONWORKS GATEWAY SC-LGWNB-A
This platform enables users to connect and centrally control the indoor units, converting
the LonWorks communication data into Superlink II communication data.
Up to 96 units can be controlled, the highest number possible for the LON systems on
the market.
BACNET GATEWAY SC-BGWNA256-A/B; SC-BGWNA-A/B
The platform supports the BACnet/IP protocol for centralized control of the air conditioning
system on a BACnet network in the building.
Up to 128 indoor units can be centrally controlled (96 groups - 64 indoor units for
2 Superlink II networks) by SC-BGWNA-A/B interface, and up to 256 indoor units by
SC-BGWNA256-A/B interface.

WEB GATEWAY SC-WGWNB256-A/B UP TO 256 CELLS (MULTI-LANGUAGE)
This platform makes a simple monitoring system possible for small and medium-sized
installations: it includes metering functions and enables users to control up to 128 indoor
units (96 groups - 64 indoor units on two Superlink II networks). Safe and easy: all you
need is Internet Explorer, without using any additional software. Using a filter on the IP
address, the system lets users select and limit access to the platform through 3 different
levels of account authentication.

SC-ADNA-E INTERFACE CARD
This interface card makes it possible to connect the indoor units to the Superlink II
network, thus ensuring they can be managed using the SC-SL2N-E device and other
centralized controllers.
Functions:
• transmission of Superlink II data bus information directed towards the indoor units
connected;
• ability to block the settings of the single indoor units from a centralized controller
(remote);
• transmission of the signal showing any faults with the indoor units connected to the
Superlink II device, displaying an error code.
SC-BIKN-E OPTIONAL KIT
This interface card makes it possible to create a two-wire X, Y network, enabling
management using the RC-E5 wired remote control. Furthermore, using the SC-ADNA-E
card connected directly to the SC-BIKN-E card, it is possible to connect the unit to the
Superlink II network and centralise management of the units (SRK, SRR, SRF) using remote
controls for all functions. The interface card is contained in a box fastened to the wall
measuring 120 x 135 x 29 mm. The card is also equipped with a CnT connector, which
enables the units (SRK, SRR, SRF) to exchange the digital inputs/outputs with an external
control system.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, always very attentive to grasp the needs of the market, has devepoled a number of interfaces that
allow you to integrate the air-conditioning systems with Home & Building Automation systems.
Any device or system applied inside or outside buildings must today be able to enter into an automation logic. This aspect is even more
important in systems where energy performance and consumption in building-serving systems can be further improved by managing
Home and Building Automation techniques, by both coordinating the various technologies available and by using energy wisely. In
addition, thanks to available operating data (consumption, time profiles, etc.), we can quantify real savings and verify which improvements
can be achieved by changing management strategies.
KNX – THE OPEN STANDARD FOR ALL APPLICATIONS OF HOME & BUILDING AUTOMATION
KNX can be used both in new buildings and during renovation in the residential and services sectors. All the components of the
automation system communicate with each other by means of KNX Bus, which is independent of any single manufacturer and particular
application. The twisted pair - or IP/Ethernet - is used and can be easily installed. The Bus devices may be sensors or actuators required for
the air-conditiong control (heat/cool) that will integrate with the lighting management, blinds and shutter control, safety systems, energy
management, ventilation systems, reporting and monitoring (even remote), electric cost calculation, audio/video control, electrical
household appliances, etc.. All these functions can be controlled, monitored and reported via a single system with no need for additional
control centres.

Operation is activated only when actually necessary, for example

Connecting all devices with a single bus considerably reduces
design and installation time.
A single program independent of the manufacturer and
application, Engineering Tool Software (ETS), allows the design,
engineering and configuration of systems containing KNXcertified products.
As the tool is independent of a single manufacturer, a system
integrator is able to use a combination of products from different
manufacturers with different transmission media (twisted pair,
radio frequency, power line or IP/Ethernet) in a single system.

MODBUS PROTOCOL
The MODBUS protocol is a master/slave communication bus operating on an RS-485 (MODBUS RTU or MODBUS ASCII) serial line
or on Ethernet (MODBUS-TCP/IP). The Master (Client) equipment is PCs or controllers, while the Slaves (Servers) are devices used to
detect signals from the field or to intervene in the system to be analysed (DAT3000 series). The Master equipment sends packets of
data (queries) to the Slaves. As each Slave device is programmed with a unique address, only the Slave being queried will respond
with the data requested. The MODBUS protocol defines the format of the query, which contains address of the slave being queried,
a function code that defines the requested action, various fields for exchanging the actual data (registers, coils etc.) and a field that
checks for communication errors.
By means of MH-RC-KNX-1i, MH-AC-KNX-48,
MH-AC-KNX-128 interfaces, it is possible to integrate
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries units with a supervision using
Modbus standard.
