SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

> Please read these operating instructions carefully before using the charger!

> Do not use the device if there are any signs of damage to the housing, plug

or cable. If you do find any damage to the unit, please contact an

authorised dealer!

> Only use NiMH/NiCd cells. Other battery types may cause batteries to

explode!

> Please make sure batteries are inserted in the correct polarity (+/-) prior to

use!

> Please note that only high performance brand rechargeable batteries should

be charged with this device! Low quality cells may leak and damage the

charger and invalidate the warranty!

> Keep the charger in a dry place away from direct sunlight!

> In order to avoid the risk of fire and/or electric shock, the charger must be

protected against high humidity and water!

> Before cleaning the unit, disconnect it from the mains and only use a dry

cloth!

> Never attempt to open the charger!

> Keep out of children’s reach! Children should be supervised to ensure that

they do not play with the charger!

> The device is not to be used by children or people with reduced physical,

sensory or mental capabilities. In addition, novice users who have not fully

OPERATION

Please insert the mains input plug (included) so that it connects to the two power contacts located on the power supply and push the plug until it clicks in to place (see illustration [1]). Please ensure that you hear the input plug click into the power supply to ensure that the unit is safe to use. Connect the power supply to the charger with the output plug. Finally, connect the power supply to the mains (100-240V AC 50-60Hz).

The charger is now ready for use. You can insert 1-8 AA/AAA (or combination of both sizes) NiMH or NiCd rechargeable batteries. You can also connect a USB cable using the USB port to charge other devices such as a mobile phone, smart phone or MP3 player. Insert all batteries with correct polarity corresponding to the symbols in the charging slot. The charging process starts automatically. If desired, press the “DISCHARGE” button to discharge all inserted batteries before charging. Once a battery is discharged it will automatically be recharged. If you select the discharge function, all batteries which you insert while a discharging or charging process is running will be discharged before charging. If this is not required, press the “DISCHARGE” button again and all inserted batteries will be charged.

It is normal that batteries may become warm during charging. Once a battery is fully charged, the charger automatically switches to trickle charge. The trickle charge prevents self discharge of the batteries when left in the charger.

MISE EN MARCHE

Veuillez insérer la fiche secteur d’entrée (fournie) afin qu’elle se connecte aux deux contacts électriques situés sur l’adaptateur et poussez jusqu’à entendre le

« clip » (voir image [1]). Veuillez vous assurer que vous entendes bien ce « clip

» pour être sûr que le produit est sécurisé. Connectez l’adaptateur au chargeur avec le plug de sortie. Puis enfin, connectez l’adaptateur à la prise de courant

(100-240V AC 50-60Hz).

Le chargeur est maintenant prêt à fonctionner. Vous pouvez insérer 1-8 batteries rechargeable NiMH ou NiCd AA/AAA (ou combiner les deux tailles). Vous pouvez aussi connecter un câble USB et l’utiliser pour charger d’autres appareils comme un téléphone mobile, un MP3,… insérez toutes les batteries avec la polarité correspondante aux symboles dans le compartiment des batteries. Le processus de charge démarre automatiquement. Si vous le désirez, appuyez sur le bouton « DISCHARGE » pour décharger toutes les batteries insérées avant de les recharger. Une fois qu’une batterie est déchargée, elle sera automatiquement rechargée. Si vous sélectionnez la fonction décharge, alors qu’un processus de charge ou de décharge est actif, toutes les batteries que vous insérez seront déchargées avant d’être chargées. Si ce n’est pas nécessaire, appuyez de nouveau sur le bouton et ainsi toutes les batteries seront chargées.

Il est normal que les batteries chauffent durant la charge. Une fois qu’une batterie est totalement chargée, le chargeur passe automatiquement en fonction de charge d’entretien. La charge d’entretien évite l’autodécharge des batteries lorsqu’elles sont retirées du chargeur.

FUNCIONAMIENTO

> Vor Inbetriebnahme Bedienungsanleitung sorgfältig lesen und

INBETRIEBNAHME UND FUNkTION

Setzen Sie den Netzstecker (je nach Ausführung/Länderversion können unterschiedliche Netzstecker z.B. Euro, UK, US im Lieferumfang enthalten sein) über den beiden Netzkontakten auf und schieben Sie den Stecker bis zum Anschlag in der Führung (siehe Abbildung [1]). Achten Sie darauf, dass der Stecker beim

Aufschieben hörbar einrastet. Verbinden Sie das Kabel des Netzgerätes mit dem

Ladegerät und schließen Sie das Netzgerät an die Stromversorgung an (100-

240V AC 50-60Hz).

Das Ladegerät ist nun betriebsbereit. Sie können 1-8 NiMH oder NiCd Akkus der

Größen Mignon AA oder Micro AAA (auch gemischt) einlegen und/oder an die

USB-Ladebuchse ein USB-Kabel anschließen, um verschiedene Geräte wie z.B.

Handy, Smartphone oder MP3-Player zu laden. Legen Sie alle Akkus polrichtig, entsprechend den Symbolen im Ladeschacht, ein. Der Ladevorgang startet automatisch. Falls gewünscht, können Sie durch Drücken der Entladetaste „DISCHAR-

GE“ alle eingelegten Akkus entladen. Nach erfolgter Entladung eines jeden

Akkus wird dieser automatisch geladen. Sofern Sie die Entladefunktion gewählt haben, werden auch Akkus, die Sie während eines laufenden Entlade- oder Ladevorgangs einlegen, zuerst entladen. Ist dies nicht gewünscht, drücken Sie die

Entladetaste „DISCHARGE“ erneut und alle eingelegten Akkus werden geladen.

Eine Erwärmung der Akkus während des Ladevorganges ist normal. Nach erfolgter Aufladung des Akkus erfolgt die automatische Umschaltung auf Impulserhaltungsladung. Diese Funktion garantiert eine optimale Performance und verhindert die Selbstentladung der Akkus.
