THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE FOR iPhone/iPad (iPhone 4S) The screenshots and menu options here may be slightly different depending on the version of the software running. At the end of this guide are the instructions for removing the eduroam profile. 1. Setting up the eduroam connection 1. When you go to “Settings > Wi-Fi” on your device you should see “eduroam” listed as a network. Ensure the “Wi-Fi” Slider is in the “On” position. 2. Tap “eduroam” to connect. 3. Enter your username and password as below and then tap the “Join” button. Students: Username: <<Your Student ID >>@nrc.ac.uk Password: Your College network password Staff: Username: <<Your staff username>>@nrc.ac.uk Password: Your College network password 4. A security certificate will be displayed. Tap the “Trust” button. If the connection fails repeat steps 3 and 4. 2. Updating the stored password on your eduroam profile (iPhone 4S) This step is only required if you change your College network password. 1. Go to “Settings > Wi-Fi” and tap the blue i button beside “eduroam”. 2. Scroll down the screen until it says “HTTP Proxy” and tap the “Manual” button. 3. Slide “Authentication” to “On” and type your username and password as per the format above. 4. Scroll to the top of the screen and tap the “Wi-Fi” arrow at the top left hand side to go back to the list of Wi-Fi networks and try connecting to “eduroam” again. 3. Removing the eduroam profile from your iPhone/iPad (iPhone 4S) If you no longer require the eduroam service on your device or are leaving the Northern Regional College you can remove the eduroam profile using the instructions below. 1. Go to “Settings > Wi-Fi” on your iPhone/iPad, and the blue i button beside “eduroam”. 2. Tap on the “Forget This Network” option. 3. Tap on “Forget” to confirm the removal of “eduroam”.
