PBX Connectivity Terminal - Oppermann

PBX Connectivity Terminal - Oppermann
The PBX can be configured to automatically use a trunk–connected Nokia 22
with mobile network targeted calls. With
the Nokia 22 on an extension connection,
the end–user first enters the extension
number of the Nokia 22 and then the
mobile number he is trying to reach.
Should you experience occasional power
losses there is an optional back–up battery
available. In any event, the AutoPINfeature enables device recovery after
occasional power cuts without on–site
intervention.
Installing the Nokia 22 is fast and simple.
Most of the settings can be made using
a normal land line telephone connected
to the trunk connector. However, more
advanced settings are possible with the
optional Nokia 22 Configurator software.
The Nokia 22 has a 9–pin RS232
connector and it supports High Speed
Circuit Switched Data (HSCSD). Therefore
it can be used as a fast wireless external
modem.
PBX Connectivity Terminal
Nokia 22 is a PBX connectivity terminal
which serves as a gateway between
a GSM network and a company's private
branch exchange. When connected to
a PBX, it can route incoming and
outgoing calls via the mobile telephone
network, providing a cost–effective
alternative to fixed–to–mobile or
mobile–to–fixed telephone calls.
As its name suggests, the Nokia 22 has
been purpose–built for PBX connection.
This means that the Nokia 22 can be
connected to either the trunk or extension
connector of a PBX. As a result, the
Nokia 22 can be used on the analog
extension of an ISDN PBX as well as
with analog PBXs.

Specifications are subject to change without notice. The availability of particular products and services may vary by region. Some features are network dependent.
The Nokia 22 can provide GSM supplementary services and practically the same
signaling and services as the landline
network. The Nokia 22 supports Calling
Line Identification and Advice of Charge
signaling with an external device. The
Nokia 22 can be programmed to change
the prefix (e.g. area code) of the phone
number the user has keyed in and the
insertion of an additional prefix is also
possible.
