provided are results obtained by Honda under standardised testing conditions
prescribed by WMTC. Tests are conducted on a rolling road using a standard
version of the vehicle with only one rider and no additional optional equipment.
Actual fuel consumption may vary depending on how you ride, how you
maintain your vehicle, weather, road conditions, tyre pressure, installation of
accessories, cargo, rider and passenger weight, and other factors.
We would like to thank Dainese for their continued support and for supplying
the latest safety clothing and helmets that our riders wore in the making of
this brochure.

the
adventure
maker
There’s a whole world out there. And with the Honda Crosstourer you can explore it in comfort and style. It takes the
best elements of an on-road motorcycle, such as performance, handling, braking and stability and combines them with
the suspension systems and riding position of an off-road motorcycle. Add the power of the V4 1,237cc engine and even
the longest of journeys will feel effortless. When the going gets tough there’s the long-travel suspension to soak up the
bumps on any rough roads, tracks or even cobbled squares your adventure may take you on. The upright seating position
provides the rider with a good view of the road ahead with plenty of room for two people to ride in total comfort. With the
Crosstourer suddenly anything seems possible and starting the engine is the beginning of a completely new adventure.

The power to
perform
The Crosstourer has been engineered to deliver refined power. The engine
itself is a V4, 1,237cc unit with compact Unicam® technology and a 28°
crankpin offset, offering large amounts of power and torque. The uneven
firing intervals of Honda’s V4 engines contribute to their unique character
and give the rider a feeling of connection and confidence to enjoy the bike’s
performance. The Crosstourer’s satisfying engine makes the rider feel in
tune with the bike and with the option of Honda’s Dual Clutch Transmission
for fast and slick gearshifts, the journey will feel smooth even if the terrain
isn’t. Handling and safety is also improved with TCS traction control which
ensures the engine never sends more power than the rear tyre can cope
with and Combined Anti-lock Brakes (C-ABS) provide strong controlled
braking. Power and control is what makes the Crosstourer such a capable
machine over long distances and on all kind of roads.

Dual Clutch Transmission
Honda’s innovative Dual Clutch Transmission technology offers the same riding
enjoyment as a manual transmission but with the convenience of an automatic.
The result is a transmission that gives riders real flexibility depending on their
riding style. The system uses two electronically controlled clutches which deliver
fast and smooth gearshifts in three modes. Manual (MT) allows the rider to
change gears using triggers on the handlebar, while automatic (AT) offers two
settings: S for sportier riding and D for urban and highway use. Both can be
instantly manually overridden, for instance when braking heavily before a sharp
bend, and the system automatically detects when manual shifting is finished and
reverts to the previous automatic mode. The fast and optimised gear changes aid
fuel economy and give a sporty performance, all you have to do is enjoy the ride.
get adventurous with
your sport touring
A long journey can’t always be shortened, but it can be made more
comfortable. The Crosstourer’s die-cast aluminium frame mounts
long-travel suspension systems at the front and rear to deliver an
engaging, controlled and comfortable riding experience, even on
rough roads. The spoked wheels have also been designed to absorb
shocks, working with the machine’s advanced suspension systems
to deliver a refined ride. The tyres themselves offer high levels of
traction on all road surfaces with agile handling and superb balance.
The windscreen is positioned to offer good wind protection, as are the
off-road style adjustable knuckle guards. And if the weather does take
a turn for the worse it’s important to be able to focus on your ride, so
the instrument panel has a large, clear digital speedometer, and the
status of everything from fuel remaining to gear selected can be seen
at a glance. Little details can make a big difference on a long trip.

Shaft-drive
The Crosstourer’s spoked wheels have been designed to absorb the shocks
from rough road surfaces. Together with the advanced suspension system and
rigid 43 mm upside-down telescopic forks they offer reassuring control, precise
steering and stability. Honda’s Combined Anti-lock Brake System (C-ABS)
provides secure braking via powerful twin front disk and single rear disk brakes.
The shaft-drive offers a relatively maintenance-free, reliable operation and
long life, without the inconvenience or mess of having to lubricate and adjust
a chain. The advanced Traction Control System (TCS) helps prevent loss
of traction and ensures the Crosstourer’s ample power is put down with
maximum control.
