FURTHER INFORMATION
Internal Memory and Picture Resolution
The Internal Memory of the Frame is 16Mb. This is sufficient for 15 pictures. Images above 1Mb will automatically be downsampled to about 1Mb.
The screen resolution is 800x480 pixels. This corresponds to a total resolution of 340,000 pixels
(0.340MP). Playing very high resolution pictures through the screen will slow loading times without improving viewability.
Formats, Files and Folders
This unit recognises JPG format pictures. If there are other files on the disc these will not be recognised.
If the pictures are organised in folders, the folder structure will not be recognised but all the JPG format pictures will be recognised and played.
Extended Use
Heat: After extended use, the frame may get warm.
This is normal and not a cause for concern.
Screen Burn: Contrary to popular belief, if you leave a static picture on the screen for a long time you may leave a permanent ‘after image’ on the screen. The Slide show mode stops this from occurring.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Many pictures will not be viewable over the full screen. Because most digital cameras use an aspect ratio of either 3:2 or 4:3 whereas the Picture Frame has an aspect ratio of 16:9, black bars may appear at the sides of your pictures - this is normal and not a fault. See P. 7 for information on extending an image to full screen.
CARE AND WARRANTY
After Use
Switch the set off via the POWER switch.
Unplug the adaptor from the mains supply and then unplug the adaptor from the Picture Frame.
Unplug any connected memory card or USB stick.
Store the unit and the power adaptor in a cool dry place, out of the reach of children and pets.
Care and Cleaning
Care and cleaning operations should be carried out with the unit unplugged from the mains.
The plastic and metal parts can be cleaned with a barely damp cloth and then dried carefully.
Do NOT touch the screen with bare fingers, or with hard or pointed objects. Clean the screen carefully with a specially treated cloth, such as a Calotherm cloth available from chamists and opticians.
