INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the Wireless Reversing Kit by Swann. This
product operates on ISM-2.4GHz frequency band, which has been
approved for usage worldwide. This product consists of alloyed shell
and special weather-proof materials that protect it against power spikes
and light water spray. This product has passed the IP65 testing. The
Wireless Reversing Kit offers a convenient and easy solution for drivers.
Mounting the camera provided on the back of a vehicle drivers can now
conveniently reverse vehicles and trailers knowing what is behind them
and the approximate distances to obstructions. This product is strictly a
vehicle accessory intended to assist a driver, thus by using this product
you accept any responsibility to any damage that may occur to the
vehicle. Please read the manual thoroughly before using this product
and follow the instructions carefully.
Important Notice
This product may cause or receive interference with other wireless
equipment that operates at 2.4GHz ISM band. If possible turn off any
wireless equipment to eliminate the interference.
Product Assurance: Like all wireless devices, this camera emits
electromagnetic waves. The product falls well within standards and
its output is less than that of most mobile phones. The 2.4GHz
wireless camera meets wireless frequency security standards and
recommended indexes while operating. These standards and indexes
are certificated by academic organization and represent the cogitative
research of the scientific workers who continuously explore and
annotate the involved fields.

This product complies with standards including Low Voltage Device
Directive 2006/95/EC; EMC Directive 2004/108/EC and R&TTE
Directive 1999/5/EC. It has passed the subject tests by the authority
concerned and is authorized to bear CE mark.
FCC
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits
for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC rules.
These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against
harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment
generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not
installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause
harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no
guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation.
Should you experience interference between devices try the following;
-Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
-Increase the separation between the equipment and the receiver.
-Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that
to which the receiver is connected.
-Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

Swann Communications recommends some skill in car maintenance and
basic electronics, otherwise consult a skilled professional to install
this product. Check with your manufacturer and insurance company
to ensure any modifications to your vehicle do not affect your
warranty status or coverage.

INSTALLATION
We strongly recommend you ask qualified technician or maintenance
engineer to install this device. Improper installation of this monitor may
cause short circuit or battery leakage. Swann Communications is not
responsible for any damage or costs you may incur for faulty installation.
Please follow the steps below to install this product.

Camera Installation
1. Choose a place to mount the camera discreetly. We suggest
mounting above the license plate or behind a tow ball if applicable. The
camera can be setup in the back window however nightvision may not
appear correctly. Setup the kit
and test all connections BEFORE
permanently installing.

2. Line up wires with one of the reversing lights. Ensure you have
enough cable length to run from the light to the camera.
3. Connect the wire from the camera extension power cable to the
reversing power cable in the car. Note red is positive and black or
white is negative or the ground. Bind them together and
insulate wires or use terminal block.
4. Use the detector to find the wire near reversing lights on the rear
car body to find reversing power then connect the wire correctly.

Use the detector to find reversing power. NOTE: Make sure the hand
brake is applied and all wheels are blocked off before proceeding.

1. With hand brake on, step on the reverse gear.
2. Clip the pincers to the metal of the car body.
3. Use the red pen to find the power by thrusting into the tape. Make
sure the penpoint touches the wire core.
4. If the LED light is on there is power in this circuit while in reverse.
5. Put the vehicle into park and use the red pen on the same circuit, if
light turns off, then the wire is the reverse power.
6. Connect the reverse power wire with the red wire of the camera and
bind them together and insulate or use terminal block. Ground with
black wire

LCD Installation
1. Before permanently mounting the monitor, clean the surface and let it
dry thoroughly. Stick the monitor to the surface and apply pressure
for maximum adhesion.
2. Press the monitor bracket firmly onto the area you just cleaned.
Adhesion reaches maximum strength in 24 hours. Moving the fastener
from its original position will weaken the adhesive and may damage
the mounting surface.
3. The monitor has a fixed cable attached to it. On the other end, the
black and red wires now need to be joined with +12V connection in
the vehicle. (Refer to Find Anode +12V on Page10)

Finding 12V Power
1. Turn ignition to on position but do not start car.
2. Find fuse box in lower left or right. Clip the pincers to the metal of the
car body to ground.
3. Use the red pen to find the power by thrusting into the thick tape.
Make sure the penpoint touch the wire core.
4. If the LED light is on, these wires are active.
5. Turn ignition off and touch same wire. if the light turns off, then the
wire is an active when ignition on.
6. Connect the anode +12V power wire with the red wire of the receiver
and tie them together and insulate as before.

Find Ground Wire
Start the car and tweak the key reverse. Clip the pincers to the reversing
wire. Use the red pen to find the power by thrusting into the tape (most
of the ground wire are black wires). If the light is on, the wire is ground
wire. Then connect the ground wire with the black wire of the camera
and receiver and bind as before.

When the ignition is on there will be power to the monitor. If the monitor
is in standby mode, hold power button for 3 seconds to turn on. A picture
will appear on channel 4 when the transmission is in reverse.
Maintenance
◆ Do not shake or strike the product.
◆ Do not disassemble or repair the camera yourself; doing so may cause
damage to the product.
◆ Do not use solvents such as gasoline, cleaner or antistatic spray to
clean the screen, use soft cloth only.
◆ Turn off the camera/receiver if the system is not in use.
◆ The camera/receiver can only be completely disconnected from the
mains by unplugging the adapter.
◆ Do not cut the DC power cable of the apparatus to fit with another
power source.

Addendum
This manual states the LCD Monitor should be connected to 12V
reversing power. When connected in this fashion, the LCD
Monitor will have power only when the vehicle is in reverse.
Furthermore, the LCD Monitor must be turned on and set to the
correct channel each time the vehicle is put into reverse.
If you require frequent use of the LCD Monitor and Reversing
Camera or wish to avoid turning the monitor on each time you
reverse, Swann recommends wiring the LCD Monitor to a
constant 12V power source. If installed this way the LCD Monitor
will remain in standby ready to receive the Reversing Camera
signal when the vehicle is put in reverse. Note the LCD Monitor
will draw a small amount of battery power when the vehicle is idle.
If the vehicle will remain idle for long periods of time it is
recommended to turn the LCD Monitor off.

TROUBLESHOOTING
If you are experiencing problems with the operation of the camera or
monitor try these steps first, or contact technical support at
1300 13 8324 in Australia or 1-800-627-2799 in USA.
Problem

Hold Power button for 3 seconds

Check if the polarity of the battery is fit

Ensure the camera have a clear line of sight
The video is unclear
Interference with other devices nearby;
