Before using the appliance
• Your new appliance is designed exclusively for domestic use.
To get the most out of your new appliance, read the user handbook thoroughly. The handbook
contains a description of the product and useful tips for storing food.
Keep this handbook for future consultation.
• After unpacking, make sure that the appliance is undamaged and that the doors close properly. Any
damage must be reported to your dealer within 24 hours after delivery of the appliance.
• Wait at least two hours before switching on the appliance to ensure the refrigerant circuit has settled
and is fully efficient.
• Installation of the appliance and electrical connections must be carried out by a qualified engineer, in
accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and local safety regulations.
• Clean the inside of the appliance before using it.
Protecting the environment
1. Packing
The packaging material is entirely recyclable, and
marked with the recycling symbol
. Follow
local regulations for scrapping. Keep all the
packaging materials (plastic bags, polystyrene, etc.)
out of reach of children, as they can be potentially
dangerous.
2. Scrapping/Disposal
The appliance is manufactured using recyclable
materials.
This appliance is marked according to the
European directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical
and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). By ensuring this
product is disposed of correctly, you will help
prevent a potential negative impact on the
environment and on human health, which could
otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste
handling of this product.
For more detailed information about treatment,
recovery and recycling of this product, please
contact your Local Authority, or the shop where
you purchased the product.
Information:
This appliance does not contain CFCs. The
refrigerant circuit contains R134a (HFC) or R600a
(HC) (see the rating plate inside the appliance).
Appliances with Isobutane (R600a): isobutane is a
natural gas hich does not have an environmental
impact, but is highly flammable. Therefore, make
sure the refrigerant circuit pipes are not damaged.

Precautions and general recommendations
INSTALLATION
• The appliance must be handled and installed by
two or more people.
• Be careful not to damage flooring (e.g. parquet)
whilst moving the appliance.
• During installation, make sure the power cable
is not damaged.
• Ensure that your appliance is not installed near a
heat source.
• To guarantee adequate ventilation, leave a space
on both sides and above the appliance, following
the installation instructions.
• Keep the appliance ventilation openings free.
• Do not damage the appliance refrigerant circuit
pipes.
• Install and level the appliance on a floor strong
enough to take its weight and in a place suitable
for its size and use.
• Install the appliance in a dry and well-ventilated
place. The appliance is manufactured for use in
various climates Refer to the temperature table
below and the climatic class given on the rating
plate for the operating temperature range. The
appliance may not work properly if it is left for
long periods at a temperature above or below
the specified range.

USE
• Before carrying out any maintenance or cleaning
operation, unplug the appliance or disconnect it
from the power supply.
• All appliances equipped with an ice-maker and
water dispenser must be connected to a water
supply that delivers drinking water with a mains
water pressure of between 0.24 and 0.83MPa
(2.4 and 8.3 bar / 35 and 120 PSI). Ice-makers
and/or water dispensers not directly connected
to the water supply must be filled with drinking
water only.
• Only use the refrigerator compartment for
storing fresh food and only use the freezer
compartment for storing frozen food, freezing
fresh food and making ice cubes.
• Do not store glass containers with liquids in the
freezer since they may burst.

• Check the voltage specified on the rating plate
corresponds to that of your home.
• Do not use single/multi adapters or extension

• For the water connection, use the pipe supplied
with the new appliance; do not reuse that of the
previous appliance.

The controls are located at the top front of the refrigerator compartment.
Control
Initial Control Settings
After plugging the refrigerator in, set the controls.
• Pressing the
or
pads adjusts the controls to the desired setting.
• The temperature control range for both compartments is 1 through 7 (coldest).
• Set the Freezer control on 4.
• Set the Refrigerator control on 4.
• Let the refrigerator run at least 8 to 12 hours before adding food.
Warm Cabinet Surfaces
At times, the front of the refrigerator cabinet may be warm to the touch. This is a normal occurrence that
helps prevent moisture from condensing on the cabinet. This condition will be more noticeable when you
first start the refrigerator, during hot weather and after excessive or lengthy door openings.
Adjusting the Controls
• 24 hours after adding food, you may decide that one or both compartments should be colder or
warmer. If so, adjust the control(s) as indicated in the Temperature Control Guide table below.
• Except when starting the refrigerator, do not change either control more than one number at a time.
• Allow 24 hours for temperatures to stabilize.

Water Dispenser
If you did not flush the water system when the refrigerator was first installed,
dispense water into a container until you draw 8 to 12 L (2 to 3 gal.) or for
approximately 6 to 7 minutes after the water begins dispensing and discard.
The water you draw and discard will rinse out the pipes. Allow several hours
for the refrigerator to cool down and chill the water.
Dispensing Water
1. Hold a container under the dispenser while pressing the button.
2. Release the button to stop dispensing.
NOTE: Dispense enough water every week to maintain a fresh supply.
User preferences
The control centre allows you to set user preferences, if desired.

Use of ice maker and water dispenser
Automatic Ice Maker
Connect the ice maker to the water supply as
instructed. Proper water flow and a level
refrigerator are essential for optimal ice
maker performance.
• Beverages and foods should not be placed in the
ice storage bin for quick chilling. These items
can block the ice maker arm, causing the ice
maker to malfunction.
• Turn off (arm up) the ice maker when the water
supply is to be shut off for several hours.
Ice Maker Operation
• To turn on the ice maker,
push the metal arm down
from locked position.
• Lift the arm up and lock
into position to turn off
the ice maker.
To Remove the Ice Bin:
• Pull it forward, away from the ice maker. To
avoid the ice maker dumping ice while the
storage bin is removed, turn the ice maker off
by raising the ice maker arm.
To Install the Ice Storage Bin:
• Reverse the above procedure. Then turn on the
ice maker by lowering the ice maker arm.
Operating Instructions
• Confirm the ice bin is in place and that the ice
maker arm is in the down position.
• After freezer section reaches between -17° to 18°C (2° to 0°F), ice maker fills with water and
begins operating. You will have a complete
batch of ice approximately every three hours.
• Allow approximately 24 hours after installation
to receive the first batch of ice.
• Discard any ice created within the first 12 hours
of operation to ensure the ice is free of any
impurities.
• Ice production can be stopped by raising the ice
maker arm until a gentle click is heard.
• The ice maker will remain in the off position
until the arm is pushed down.
• The first one or two batches of ice may contain
undersized and irregular cubes. This is due to
air being in the supply line. This will disappear.
• When the ice cubes are ejected it is usual for
several cubes to be joined together at the ends.
These are easily broken apart. The ice maker
will continue to make ice until the supply of ice
cubes in the ice storage bin raises the ice maker
arm, shutting the ice maker off.
• Certain sounds may accompany the various ice
maker cycles. The motor may hum, ice cubes
will rattle as they fall into an empty storage pan
and the water valve may click or “buzz”
occasionally. This is entirely normal.
• If the supply of ice cubes is not used frequently,
the ice will become cloudy, shrink, stick
together and taste ‘stale’. If this happens discard
the entire contents of the ice storage bin and
wash the bin in lukewarm water. Be sure to dry
the bin thoroughly before replacing it. The ice
storage bin should be emptied periodically to
ensure the ice is fresh.
Water Dispenser
• The Water Dispenser is
located on the left side
wall of the fresh food
section. This design is for
cold water dispensing only.
To Dispense Water:
• Hold a container under the
spout and press the
dispenser pad.

Water filter
Water Filter Removal and Installation
If your appliance must be connected to the mains
water supply to operate the water dispenser
and/or ice maker, it must be a water supply which
delivers drinking water only. Ice makers not
connected to a mains water supply must be filled
with drinking water only.
NOTES:
1. The bypass cap does not filter water. Be sure to
have a replacement cartridge available when a
filter change is required.
2. If the water filtration system has been allowed
to freeze, the filter cartridge will need to be
replaced.
3. If filtration system has not been used for several
months, or water has an unpleasant taste or
odour, the system can be flushed clean by
dispensing water for two to three minutes. If
the unpleasant taste or odour persists, change
the filter cartridge.
Initial Installation of the water filter
The water filter is located in the upper right-hand
corner of the refrigerator compartment.
1. Remove blue bypass cap and retain for later
use.
2. Remove sealing label from end of filter and
insert into filter head.
3. Gently, but firmly rotate the filter clockwise
until the filter stops. Snap the filter cover
closed.
4. Reduce water spurting unexpectedly by flushing
the air from system. Run water continuously for
two minutes through the dispenser until the
water runs steadily. During this initial phase,
allow about a one- to two-minute delay to allow
the internal water tank to fill up before
dispensing water.
• Additional flushing may be required in some
households where water is of poorer quality.
Replacing the Water Filter
IMPORTANT: Air trapped in system may
cause water and the cartridge to eject.
Always dispense water for at least 2 minutes
before removing the filter for any reason. Use
caution when removing.
1. To remove the filter. Firmly turn the filter
anticlockwise until it releases from filter head.
2. Drain water from the filter into the sink, and
dispose of the filter in the household rubbish.
3. Wipe up excess water in the filter cover and
replace the new filter following the instructions
in steps 2 to 4 of the Initial Installation of the
water filter.
IMPORTANT: The quality/condition of the water
and amount used, determines the life span of water
filter cartridge. If water use is high, or if water is of
poor quality, filter replacement will need to occur
more often.
To purchase a replacement water filter cartridge,
contact the Customer Care Centre.
The dispenser feature may be used without a
water filter cartridge. If you choose this option,
replace filter with blue bypass cap.

Shelves
• Never attempt to adjust a shelf that is loaded with food.
• Ensure the shelf is secure and correctly fitted before placing items on a shelf.
Your refrigerator has either spill guard glass shelves or nonsealed shelves. The spill guard glass shelf shelves have a spill
retainer edge which allows for easier cleaning up of spillages.
Some shelves are fitted with the Easy Glide slide out feature. If
the easy glide feature is fitted to slide out the shelf , grasp the front
of the shelf and pull carefully forward.
Push the shelf in to return it to the original position.
To remove a shelf:
• Empty the shelf of all foodstuffs. Carefully tilt up the front of the shelf whilst lifting up the rear of the
shelf, freeing the hooks at the rear of the shelf. The shelf can then be lifted out to the front.
To lock the shelf into another position:
• Tilt up the front edge of the shelf.
• Insert the rear hooks into the desired frame openings with the shelf tilted upwards. Lower the front
edge of the shelf, letting the shelf settle into place.
• Check the shelf is securely fixed at the rear.
The Crisper Top serves as the lower fresh food shelf.
To remove the Crisper Top:
• Remove the crisper drawer.
• Place a hand under the frame to push up the glass. Lift the glass out.
• Lift the frame from the refrigerator liner rails.
To install:
• Repeat removal instructions in reverse order.
Door Storage
Dairy Compartment
The Dairy Compartment provides convenient door storage for
items such as butter and margarine. This compartment can be
moved to different locations to accommodate your storage needs.
To use the dairy compartment, simply raise the cover.
To remove:
• Raise the cover, pull upwards and tilt out.
To install:
• Reverse above procedure.
Full-width door shelf
Full-width door shelf is removable for easy cleaning.
To remove:
• Slide the shelf up and pull straight out.
To install:
• Reverse above procedure.

Crisper drawers
The Crisper drawers provide a higher humidity environment for fresh fruit and vegetable storage.
Controls
The Crisper controls regulate the amount of humidity in the crisper drawer. Slide the control toward the
FRUIT setting for produce with outer skins.
Slide the control toward the VEGETABLES setting for leafy produce.

To remove:
• Insert the drawer into the frame rails and firmly push it back into place.
To install:
• Insert drawer into frame rails and firmly push it back into place.
Note
For best results, keep the crisper drawers tightly closed.
Temperature-controlled drawer
The Temperature controlled drawer is a full-width drawer with an adjustable temperature control. This
drawer can be used for large party trays, deli items, beverages or miscellaneous items. A divider is
provided, to allow partition of the drawer if desired.
The temperature control adjusts the amount of cold air allowed into this drawer. The control is located on
the right side of the drawer, under the lid.
Set the control to the higher setting
the lower setting
to provide a normal refrigerator temperature. Set the drawer on
when a temperature colder than the main refrigerator compartment is desired. Use
the coldest setting when storing meats.
Notes
• Cold air directed into the drawer can decrease refrigerator temperature. Refrigerator control therefore
may need to be adjusted.
• Do not place leafy vegetables in the drawer as colder temperatures can damage leafy produce.
To remove the drawer:
• Lift the lid. Pull the drawer out to its full extension.
Tilt the front of drawer up and pull it straight out.
To install the drawer:
• Push the metal glide rails to the back of the refrigerator.
Place the drawer onto the rails and slide the drawer back into place.
To remove the divider:
• Pull the drawer completely out and raise the front of the divider unhooking it from the rear wall of the
drawer. Lift it out.
To install the divider:
• Hook the back of the divider over the rear wall of the drawer and lower into place.

Upper wire basket
To remove:
• Pull the upper basket out to its full extension and lift out.
To install:
• Slide the upper basket into the freezer. Ensure that the rear
hooks on the basket, hook behind the rail catch.
Guide to storage and thawing of food
The freezer compartment, marked with the symbol
, is used for storing frozen food and freezing
fresh, or cooked food.
The maximum quantity of food which can be frozen in a 24 hour period, at an ambient temperature of
25°C, is stated on the rating plate, inside the refrigerator compartment.
For more efficient freezing, activate fast cooling & fast freezing function.
PREPARING FRESH FOOD FOR FREEZING
It is important to wrap food so that no water, moisture, or vapour may penetrate; this avoids the transfer
of odours and flavours throughout the refrigerator and allows better storage of frozen food. Use plastic
containers with tight fitting lids, aluminium trays, aluminium foil, cling film and waterproof plastic
wrappings.
SEALING
When sealing the food in bags, squeeze out the air (liquids need head space to allow for expansion). Seal
the top of the bag with a fastener. Place labels on the inside of clear freezer bags; use self-adhesive labels
on the outside of opaque ones.
DEFROSTING
Here are some helpful tips.
Raw vegetables: do not thaw, put straight into boiling water and cook as usual.
Meat (large cuts): thaw in the refrigerator compartment without unwrapping. Before cooking, leave at
room temperature for a couple of hours.
Meat (small cuts): thaw at room temperature or cook from frozen.
Fish: thaw in the refrigerator compartment without unwrapping or cook before fully thawed.
In the event of a power failure, the freezer compartment maintains the appropriate storage temperature
for approximately 12 hours; during this time, we recommend you leave the door of the compartment
closed. Do not refreeze partially thawed food.
Previously cooked food: reheat in the oven without removing it from its aluminium container.
Fruit: thaw in the refrigerator compartment.
NOTE: never place warm food in the freezer.
Allow hot foods to cool to room temperature for 30 minutes, then wrap and freeze. Cooling hot foods
before freezing saves energy and prolongs the life of the appliance.

Maintenance and cleaning
Before any cleaning or maintenance operation, unplug the appliance
from the mains or disconnect the electrical power supply.
Periodically clean the refrigerator and freezer compartments with a
cloth and a solution of lukewarm water and mild detergent.
Never use detergents or abrasives. Never clean refrigerator parts
with flammable fluids. The fumes can create a fire hazard or
explosion.
Clean the outside of the appliance and the door seal with a damp
cloth and dry with a soft cloth.
Do not steam clean.
Important: the buttons and control panel display must not be
cleaned with alcohol or alcohol-derived substances, but with a dry
cloth.
Always disconnect the refrigerator from the power supply
before replacing any light bulbs.
Replacing light bulbs
Refrigerator compartment
1. Slide clear light lens/shield towards the back of the compartment
to release from the light assembly.
2. Remove light bulbs.
3. Replace the light bulb with a similar bulb with a maximum power
of 40 watts. These are available from our Customer Care Centre
or from authorised dealers.
4. Replace the light lens/shield by aligning edge of shield with the
control housing. Slide the shield toward front of the refrigerator
until it locks into place on the ‘T’ shape locking tab. Do not force
the shield beyond it’s locking point. Doing so will damage the light
lens/shield.
Freezer compartment
1. Reach behind the light cover.
2. Using a firm pressure, press the notches on the back of the cover
forward and pull down. The cover will open from the back.
3. Remove the cover.
4. Remove the light bulb.
5. Replace the bulb using a similar light bulb with a maximum
power of 40 watts. These are available from our Customer Care
Centre or from authorised dealers.
6. Insert the front tabs of light cover into slots in the freezer liner
and snap the rear portion over light assembly until the rear tabs
engage.

Preparing the appliance for absence
For short periods
• If the period of absence is less than 3 weeks, it will not be necessary to disconnect the appliance from
the power supply. Remove all perishable foods and freeze the rest.
• If the appliance is fitted with an automatic ice maker:
1. Switch the automatic ice maker off.
2. Switch the power supply to the ice maker off.
3. Empty the ice storage bin.
In case of prolonged absence
• If the period of absence is longer than 3 weeks, the appliance should be completely emptied.
• If the appliance is fitted with an automatic ice maker:
1. Switch the automatic ice maker off.
2. Switch the power supply to the ice maker off at least one day before.
3. Empty the ice storage bin.
4. Carefully insert some plastic or wooden wedges in the top edge of each door, ensuring that the
doors remain slightly open, allowing air to circulate inside the compartments, avoiding the formation
of moulds and unwanted odours.
Transportation
1. Remove all the internal components.
2. Pack them carefully, binding them together with adhesive tape to ensure that they do not smash or go
missing.
3. Fully screw in the adjustable feet so that they do not touch the floor.
4. Use adhesive tape to secure the doors shut and secure the cable to the rear of the appliance.
Power failures
• In case of power failures contact your electricity supply provider to obtain information on the duration
of the power failure.
Note: A completely full appliance will maintain a cold temperature for longer than a partially full
one.Frozen food still showing ice crystals can be refrozen. Its flavour could however be altered.
Food in poor condition is best discarded.
In case of power supply interruptions for up to 24 hours
1. Keep all appliance doors closed. This will ensure that the stored food will remain at a suitable
temperature for the longest possible time.
In case of power supply interruptions over 24 hours
1. Empty the freezer compartment and store the food in a portable freezer.
Should this, or artificial ice, not be available, consume the most perishable food first.
2. Empty the ice storage bin.

Troubleshooting guide/After-sales service
Before contacting the Customer Care Centre...
Operation problems are often due to minor causes that can be found and fixed without using any tools.
Noises from the appliance are normal, since the fans and compressors for controlling its operation switch
on and off automatically.
Some noises can be reduced by:
• levelling the appliance and installing it on a flat surface
• separating and preventing contact of the appliance with the cabinets
• making sure the inside parts are correctly positioned
• making sure the bottles and containers are not touching each other
Some possible operation noises:
• hissing when the appliance is switched on the first time or after a long period.
• gurgling when the refrigerant enters the pipes.
• humming when the water valve or fan are activated.
• rattling when the compressor starts up or when the ice drips in the bucket.
• a sudden thud when the compressor starts up or stops.
When you hear these noises
…your appliance is alive!!!
The appliance is not working
• Is the power plug plugged into a live socket with the proper voltage?
• Has the fuse blown? Check the plug and the main fuse board.
Ice maker noises
Since your appliance has an ice maker, you may hear buzzing (from the water valve), trickling water and
the clatter of the ice falling into the storage bin.
If your ice maker does not work:
• Has the freezer had enough time to become cold? With a new refrigerator this may take overnight.
• Is the ice maker ON/OFF? Check the arm position. Up is off, down is on.
• Is the water turned on? Is water getting to the ice maker?
• Is there a water filter installed in the refrigerator? This filter may be clogged or installed incorrectly.
Check the filter installation instructions to ensure that the filter was installed correctly and is not
clogged. If installation or clogging is not a problem, call the Customer Care Centre.

Troubleshooting guide/After-sales service
If the edges of the refrigerator cabinet, which come in contact with the door seal, are warm to
the touch:
• This is normal in hot weather and when the compressor is running.
If the light does not work:
• Are the electric circuit safety devices installed in the house fully functional?
• Is the power plug plugged into a live socket with the proper voltage?
• Has the light bulb burnt out?
In the case of burnt-out bulbs:
1. Always unplug the appliance from the mains.
2. See chapter “Maintenance and Cleaning”.
If the motor seems to run too much:
• Are the doors properly closed?
• Are the door seals properly fitted?
• On hot days or if the room is warm, the motor naturally runs longer.
If the appliance door has been left open for a while or if large amounts of food have been stored, the
motor will run longer in order to cool down the interior of the appliance.
Remember
Motor running time depends on a variety of factors: the number of door openings, the amount of food
stored, the ambient room temperature, temperature control settings.
If, after performing the above checks, your appliance still does not work properly, contact the Customer
Care Centre, explain the problem, specifying the model and appliance service number (stated on the data
plate).
If the refrigerator temperature is too high
• Are the refrigerator controls correctly set?
• Has a large amount of food just been added to the refrigerator or freezer?
• Check that the doors are not opened too often.
• Check that the doors close properly.
• Make sure that air flow vents inside the compartment are not blocked, as this prevents the circulation
of cold air.
If there is moisture build-up
• Make sure that air flow vents inside the compartment are not blocked, as this prevents the circulation
of air.
• Make sure that the food is properly packaged. Remove any moisture on the outside of food containers
before placing them in the refrigerator.
• Check that the doors are not opened too often. When the door is opened, humidity from the room air
enters the refrigerator. The more often the door is opened, the faster humidity builds up which then
condenses on the cold interior walls, especially when the room itself is very humid.
• If the room is very humid, it is normal for moisture to build up inside the refrigerator.
If the doors do not open and close properly
• Check that food packages are not blocking the door.
• Check that the pans, shelves, drawers or the ice maker are not out of position.
• Check that the door seals are not dirty or sticky.
• Ensure the appliance is level.

Installation
Your new appliance is a FULLY FROST FREE model designed exclusively for domestic use, i.e. both
refrigerator and freezer compartments are provided with an automatic defrosting function.
This manual contains indications and warnings for correct and safe installation of the appliance – please
read it carefully before starting any installation.
Keep this manual for future consultation. If you sell the appliance please give it to the new buyer.
Because of the weight of the appliance, at least 2 people are required to safely move/install it.
Installation of the appliance must be carried out by a qualified engineer.
Your refrigerator was packed carefully for shipment.
Remove and discard shelf packaging and tape. Do not remove the serial plate.
Measuring the Opening
When installing your refrigerator, please measure carefully.
One-half inch (1.5 cm) of air space should be provided for the top and back of the refrigerator.
Note: 60 cm deep models
Trim corners of countertop to a 45° angle if countertop has 25 mm overhang. Provide 5 mm clearance on
both sides of refrigerator, and allow 7 mm on top for ease of installation and leveling. No minimum
clearance is required at the rear of the cabinet.
Subflooring or floor coverings (i.e. carpet, tile, wood floors, rugs) may make your opening smaller than
anticipated. Some clearance may be gained by using the leveling procedure (see Leveling. P23).
IMPORTANT: If the refrigerator is to be installed into a recess where the top of the refrigerator is
completely covered, Measure the dimension from floor, to top of hinge cap to ensure proper clearance.
Transporting Your Refrigerator
• NEVER transport the refrigerator on its side. If an upright position is not possible, lay the refrigerator
on its back. Allow the refrigerator to sit upright for approximately 2 hours before plugging it in to allow
the coolant to return into the compressor. Plugging the refrigerator in immediately may cause damage
to internal parts.
• Use an appliance dolly when moving the refrigerator. ALWAYS truck the refrigerator from its side or
back–NEVER from its front as the doors will be damaged.
• Protect outside finish of the refrigerator during transport by wrapping cabinet in blankets or inserting
padding between the refrigerator and dolly.
• Secure the refrigerator to dolly firmly with straps or bungee cords. Thread straps through handles
when possible. Do not overtighten. Overtightening the restraints may dent or damage outside finish.

Installation
Freezer Drawer removal
To avoid possible injury, product, or property damage, you will need
two people to perform the following instructions.
To Remove:
1. Pull the freezer drawer open to it’s full extension.
2. Pull the upper basket out to full extension and lift out to remove.
3. Lift the lower basket straight up and out to remove.
4. On each side rail is a basket cradle with two snap attachments. To
release each cradle, unlatch the snaps by pushing them inward,
away from the side rail system. Lift the cradles off of the rails.
5. Lift top of the drawer front to unhook supports from rail system.
Lift the door front out to remove.
To Install:
1. Pull both rails out to full extension.
2. While supporting the door front, hook supports into tabs located
on inside of the rail.
3. Lower the door front into the final position.
4. Place the basket cradles back onto the side rails.
Align snaps with the slots on the side rails and press each snap
towards the rail until it clicks.
5. With rails pulled out to full extension, lower the basket straight
down into the cradles.
6. Slide the upper basket into freezer. Make sure that rear of basket,
hooks behind rail catch.

Leveling
• Do not use power tools when performing the leveling procedure.
• To enhance the appearance and maintain performance, the
refrigerator should be level. (side to side)
Note
Complete any required door reversal, panel installation and/or a water
supply connection, before leveling.
Materials Needed
• 3/8” hex head driver
• A Spirit level
1. Remove the toe grille.
• Grasp firmly and pull out carefully to unclip.
2. Remove the bottom bracket cover(s).
• Place the eraser end of a pencil or similar blunt tool in the cover
notch.
• Use a slight pressure to carefully pry the cover loose.
• Continue the downward pressure to the notched side of the cover
while swinging it off.
3. Using hex head driver, turn the front adjustment screws (A) on each
side to raise or lower the front of the refrigerator.
Note
• Some models only have adjustment screws “A”.
4. Selected models also have rear adjustment screws (B). Using the hex
head driver, turn each of these adjustment screws (B) to raise or
lower the rear of the refrigerator.
5. Using spirit level, make sure front of refrigerator is 6 mm or half
bubble higher than back of refrigerator and that the refrigerator is
level from side to side.
6. Turn stabilizing legs (C) clockwise until firmly against floor.
7. Freezer drawer models only: Turn adjustment screws (A)
anticlockwise to allow the full weight of the refrigerator to rest on the
stabilizing legs.
8. Replace the bracket cover(s).
• Position cover into the outer edge of the hinge.
• Swing the cover toward the cabinet and snap it into
place.
9. Replace the toe grille.
Note
• For proper reinstallation, ensure the “top” marking on
the interior of the toe grille is oriented correctly.
• Align the toe grille mounting clips with the lower cabinet slots.
• Snap bottom portion into place first. Press down firmly on the top of
the grille until top portion snaps into place.

Installation
For pullout drawer only:
1. Turn both stabilizing legs clockwise until firmly against floor. Turn
roller adjustment screws 2 to 3 times anti clockwise so that the
full weight of refrigerator rests on the stabilizing legs.
2. Replace toe grille and bracket cover(s). See markings on inside of
toe grille to insure proper alignment.
Opening and Closing Your Refrigerator Compartment
Your new refrigerator is uniquely designed with two fresh food doors.
Either door can be opened or closed independently of one another.
There is a vertically-hinged section (mullion) on the left fresh food
door. When the left door is closed, the hinged section automatically
forms a seal between the two doors when both doors are closed.

Water connection
Disconnect the appliance from the mains power supply before
starting operations.
• The ice maker and water circuit must be connected to a water
supply of drinkable and/or chemically purified water.
• The water connection must be carried out in compliance with
local water regulations.
• The appliance is supplied with a water tube and with a transition
connector for connecting to the water tube to the supply.
(selected models)
• Remove the protective cap from the end of the gray water tubing.
• Connect the water tube (1) to the transition connector (2).
Tighten to finger tightness and then tighten 1 or 2 additional turns
only (for some models connector is placed directly on water
tube).
• Connect the transition connector (2) to the household water
supply (3).
• (4) Remove Plastic cap from water valve inlet port.
• (5) Place end of Plastic tubing into water valve inlet port.
• (6) Slide brass nut over sleeve and screw the nut into the inlet
port. Tighten the nut with a spanner taking care not to over
tighten. Connect tubing to frame with water tubing clamp (C).
• Ensure that the water tube is not twisted.
• The appliance is pre-set for operation at pressures between 0.24
and 8.3 bar MPascal (2.4 and 8.3 bar / 35 and 120 PSI).
• Open the water tap. Check for and eliminate any leaks.
• The appliance does not require any adjustment or water drain.

Electrical connection
Regulations require that the appliance is earthed. The manufacturer declines all liability for injury to
persons or animals and for damage to property resulting from failure to observe this or any other
instructions.
Installation and electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified engineer according to the
manufacturer’s instructions and local safety regulations.
Ensure that the voltage indicated on the appliance data plate corresponds to the mains voltage.
The plug of the appliance must be easily accessible even after installation so that the appliance can be
unplugged if necessary.
If this is not possible, connect the appliance to the mains supply by means of a two-pole switch with
minimum break distance between contacts of 3 mm, fitted at an easily accessible point.
If the power supply cable plug and socket are not of the same type, replace the socket (this must be done
by a competent, qualified person).
Do not use extension leads or adapters.
After installation, check that the appliance is not crushing the power supply cable.
Disconnect the appliance from the power supply by unplugging it. Do not pull the power supply cable.
Electrical connection for Great Britain and Ireland only
Warning - this appliance must be earthed
Socket outlet / plug (valid for both countries)
If the fitted plug is not suitable for your socket
outlet, please contact KitchenAid Service for
further instruction. Please do not attempt to
change plug yourself. This procedure needs to be
carried out by a qualified technician in compliance
with the manufactures instructions and current
standard safety regulations.
Fuse replacement
If the mains lead of this appliance is fitted with a BS
1363A 13amp fused plug, to change a fuse in this
type of plug use an A.S.T.A. approved fuse to BS
1362 type and proceed as follows:
1. Remove the fuse cover (A) and fuse (B).
2. Fit replacement 13A fuse into fuse cover.
3. Refit both into plug.
Important:
The fuse cover must be refitted when changing a
fuse and if the fuse cover is lost the plug must not
be used until a correct replacement is fitted.
Correct replacement are identified by the colour
insert or the colour embossed in words on the
base of the plug.
Replacement fuse covers are available from your
local electrical store.
For the Republic of Ireland only
The information given in respect of Great Britain
will frequently apply, but a third type of plug and
socket is also used, the 2-pin, side earth type.
