Opening the safe for the first time: (Factory Default code: 1-2-3)

Locate the red accessory box and install the 4 AA batteries inside
the external override battery box .
Plug in the external override battery box into the keypad (leave it
plugged-in until after you open the safe.)
Open the safe by entering * , followed by the factory default code
followed by #: *-1-2-3-# The LED display will show 'OPEN'
Turn handle clockwise to open safe.
Note:
If the display shows 'E-CODE' it means that the wrong code was
entered. (try again)
After the safe is open remove the battery override box from the front,
remove batteries and install them in the main battery box located in
back of door. (keep the override battery box in a safe place--outside
the safe in case the inner- batteries die).

Programming a new personal code for normal operation:
1. Open the door and locate the RED programming button in back
of door.
2. Press it once, the display will show 'USER' , enter your new code and
press #, the display will now show '
', enter your new code again
(for the second time) and press #, the display will now show '
'
(You can choose any 1-10 digit code).
3. Try your new code a few times while the door is still open. * - new
code - #.
4. To lock the door just shut it closed and turn handle to lock.
Setting the correct date and time on the display:
The display is set as : Year-Month-Day For Example: If the display shows
It means: Jan. 17th 2015 Saturday 9:21am
1. To change the date press # and enter your personal code followed by #
(the display will show '
').
2. Press #, you can change the number which is flashing then press # to
confirm.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
A. If an incorrect code is entered 4 consecutive times the safe will go into a
lockout mode for 10 minutes. You will need to wait out the entire 10
minutes until you can open the safe with the correct code. This is a
security feature to avoid manipulation of the codes by an unauthorized
user.
B. When the batteries are low and the voltage on the Led display would be
blank. It's time to replace the batteries. (Use only high quality alkaline
batteries like Duracell or Energizer).
C. If you do not want your code to show on the display when entering it
you can do the following : *-*-# and enter your code as usual. Repeat if
you want to go back to normal operation (code showing on display)

Using the Emergency Key Override:

The Emergency Key Override is used to open the safe in case the
batteries die, the code is forgotten or the keypad is failed to open
the safe.
To open, remove the chrome cap by unscrewing it, Insert key in the
keyhole, turn key until stops—hold it and turn handle to open the safe.
DO NOT USE THIS KEY ON REGULAR BASIS TO OPEN THE
SAFE, USE ONLY IN CASE OF EMERGENCY.
NEVER LOCK THE KEYS OR EXTERNAL POWER OVERRIDE
BOX INSIDE THE SAFE.
