You can power the camera using either Power over Ethernet (PoE) or a DC 12V/24V or AC 24V power supply. For PoE, connect the RJ-45 connector on the back panel to a suitable PoE switch. For DC or AC power, connect the leads from your power source to the supplied power connector.

The default login username is 'Admin' and the default password is '1234'. It is strongly recommended to change these defaults for security purposes.

With the camera powered on, use a proper tool to push and hold the reset button for at least 20 seconds. This will reset all settings, including the IP address, to the original factory settings. The factory-set IP address can be found on the label on the bottom of the camera.

You can connect the camera to your network using either Power over Ethernet (PoE) or a standard Ethernet cable. For PoE, connect the RJ-45 connector on the back panel to a suitable PoE switch. For a standard Ethernet cable, connect the RJ-45 connector to a hub or switch using a straight-through cable, or connect directly to your PC using a crossover cable.

You can access the camera settings through it's web interface using a web browser, such as Internet Explorer. Find the default IP address of the camera on the bottom of the device. Enter the default username and password to access the settings. You can also use the Device Manager, which you can download from TKH Security's website, to change the network settings.

With the camera powered up and connected to your network, you can access the camera's web interface and use the buttons on the Home page to focus the lens. You can also use an analogue video tester connected to the analogue video output of the camera to assess image quality.

The BC820v2 camera has an optional audio in and audio out feature. Connect an audio input and output cable to the LINE IN and LINE OUT connectors on the back of the camera. You can choose between full-duplex audio for simultaneous communication, half-duplex audio for taking turns talking/listening, simplex audio to either talk or listen, or disable the audio transmission all together.
