Connect the speaker plugs from the speakers into the L/R speaker jacks located on the back of the system. 2. Fully extend the FM aerial wire. 3. Connect the mains plug to a suitable 13 Amp mains socket. 4. Switch ON the system using the Power ON/OFF switch located at the back of the system. 5. Slide the function selector switch on the front of the system from Stand-by to either Radio or CD mode. GENERAL OPERATION 1. Ensure you have Switched ON the System using the Power ON/OFF switch located at the back of the system. 2. Set the “FUNCTION” selector to “RADIO” mode. 3. Select the desired band by using the “BAND” selector. 4. Adjust the radio frequency to your desired station by using the “TUNING” control. 5. Adjust the “VOLUME” control to the desired level. FM / FM-STEREO RECEPTION - Set the “BAND” selector to FM mode for MONO reception. - Set the “BAND” selector to FM ST. mode for FM STEREO reception. The Stereo indicator light up to show FM ST. mode. FOR BETTER RECEPTION FM - This appliance has a FM antenna located at the rear cabinet. This wire is completely unraveled and extended for better reception. AM - This appliance is equipped with a built - in directional ferrite AM antenna. Rotate the appliance to get better reception. Press again to pause CD playback temporarily. Press again to resume playback. Press to go to the next track or back to the previous track. Press and hold while playing until you find the desired point on the sound track. Press to stop all CD operation. PLAYBACK 1. Ensure you have Switched ON the System using the Power ON/OFF switch located at the back of the system. 2. Set the “FUNCTION” selector to “CD” mode. 3. Open the CD door and place a CD disc with the label facing up in the CD compartment. 4. Gently push the disc on to the centre holder until it clips into place. 5. Close the CD door. 6. Focus search is performed if a disc is inside. The total number of tracks will be read and displayed on the display. 7. Press the “PLAY / PAUSE” button to start playing the CD. 8. Adjust the “VOLUME” control to the desired level. 9. Press the “PLAY / PAUSE” button again when you want to pause playback. 10. Press the “STOP” button when finished. Be sure to press the “STOP” button before use. 1. Press the “PROGRAM” button, the display will show “01” and flash. 2. Select desired track by using the “SKIP +” or “SKIP -” button. 3. Press the “PROGRAM” button again to confirm desired track into the program memory. 4. Repeat step 2 and 3 to enter additional tracks into the program memory. 5. When all the desired tracks have been programmed. Press the “PLAY / PAUSE” button to play the disc in the order you have programmed and the program indicator flashes. 6. Press the “STOP” button once to terminate programmed playback and the program indicator will turn off. 7. Press the “PROGRAM”, and “PLAY/PAUSE” button to resume programmed playback. 8. Turn the function selector to “OFF” position to clear the programmed memory. Press and hold the “TIME SET” button. (Do not release the “TIME SET” button during time setting). 2. Press the “HOUR” button to set the hour. 3. Press the “MINUTE” button to set the minutes. 4. Release all button to confirm setting. Confirmed setting will be displayed on the display. Please note you will need to reset the clock if you unplug the system from the mains socket or switch it off using the ON/OFF switch located at the back of the system. AUX IN 1. Ensure you have Switched ON the System using the Power ON/OFF switch located at the back of the system. 2. Use a 3.5mm Male-to-Male Stereo cable to connect any external audio device with a 3.5mm. Headphone or Line-Out jack to the AUX IN jack on the front panel of the stereo. The system will automatically switch to the Aux mode. 3. Start playback on the external audio device. 4. Adjust the volume on the audio device (do not set the volume too high to avoid distortion). You may also adjust the volume on the micro system. 5. Use the controls provided by the external audio device to control the playback function.
