Below you will find brief information for laser pointer II. The laser pointer II is designed to make it easier to adjust belt drives by quickly and accurately aligning belt pulleys. It features a laser output power of 5 mW, an exactly aligned line projection, and precise measurements of parallel and angular misalignment. The laser pointer II can be used to align belt drive horizontally or vertically. For non-magnetic pulleys, strong double-sided sticky tape can be used to attach the target magnets.

Attach the 3 target magnets to the side of the pulley at a distance of approximately 0°, 90°, and 270°. Fix the laser pointer II at the side of the other pulley, and align it to the target magnets. The belt drive is aligned when all 3 target magnets indicate the laser beam at the same position.

Do not look into the laser beam. Be aware of magnetic fields. Take note of safety regulations according to BGV-B2. It is not recommended to use the laser pointer in explosive areas. Make sure to keep the device dry.

Use strong double-sided sticky tape to attach the target magnets to the non-magnetic pulley.
