FAQs
Q: Is this legal?
A: Yes. The Fair Use provision in U.S. Copyright law allows the “first purchaser” of music specific
rights, which allow you to use music in this manner.
Q: How does this differ from your competitors' offerings?
A: Our competitors require you to keep track of both the CD and piano performance and insert
both to play an album. In addition, many older competing products do not support newer sync
technology. With PianoDisc, there is no built-in obsolescence, and the convenience of single-disc
playback will be appreciated.
Q: How do these CDs differ from Opus7 PianoSync Performances?
A: Opus7 allows you to copy the entire performance to its internal MX hard drive for added
convenience. Additionally, Opus7's advanced processing capabilities allow for true stereo
accompaniment.
Q: Do I have to purchase iTunes?
A: No. iTunes is a free application from Apple that runs on both Macintosh and Windows-based
computers.
Q: How long does it take to create a PianoSync CD?
A: It depends on the speed of your computer, but most computers can generate the CD in less
than 30 minutes.
Q: During the merge, I see a black box, or the status window disappeared.
A: Once the merge process starts, your computer has some work to do. Depending on your
system, you may see what your computer is processing in a black text box, or you may only see a
spinning progress wheel at the top of the screen (on Macintosh systems).
Don't worry--you don't need to keep track of what is happening. Your computer will alert you
when it's time for the next step.
Q: What if I get stuck, or have trouble creating the CD?
A: Our technical support representatives are happy to help. Assistance is available Monday –
Friday, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Pacific Time. Call 1.800.618.6299.
