Startup
Setup and Placement
1. Place unit in room facing participants
2. Plug in main power cord
(at the bottom of the cabinet)
3. Plug in blue network cable to network port
Power On
1. Power on Television
2. Power on VCR/DVD Player in cabinet
3. Power on Polycom (black switch in back of unit)
Channel Settings
1. The TV should be on Channel 3 in order to display the
Polycom view. It is usually pre-set, but sometimes it
needs to be checked.
2. The VCR/DVD player may display a Setup menu on the
TV (because it loses setup information when it is not
plugged in). Turn the VCR power off, then back on to
reset this.
3. Use the VCR channel buttons to go to Channel “L1” on
the VCR. This is the Polycom video feed, and the TV
should now display the Polycom connection screen
Connect Computer
Setup and Placement
1. Connect cables from PC video port to the PC to Video
Converter, as shown on next page.
2. Polycom unit has a long S-Video cable in the cabinet (yellow
connectors)
Power On
1. USB port of computer supplies power to the PC to Video
Converter
2. Press Power button on PC to Video Converter (LED will light
up)

Right-click on your computer’s Desktop for a popup menu.
Select Graphics Options from the menu
Select Output To from the Graphics Options menu
Select Intel® Dual Display Clone from the Output menu
Select Notebook+Monitor from the Display Clone menu

PC Display Settings – Screen Resolution
Right-click on your computer’s Desktop for a popup menu.
Select Properties from the menu
Select the Settings tab from the Display Properties
Set your Screen Resolution to “800 x 600 pixels”
Click OK (You may be asked to confirm the changed settings)

1. Connect computer to PC to Video Converter:
• Blue connector to VGA port of computer
• Red connector to Converter
• (Second blue connector to Projector, if needed.)
2. USB power connector from computer to Converter
• Press Power on Converter
3. S-Video cable from Converter to Polycom input

Switch from Camera to Computer
1. Press the Camera button to list video sources.
2. Use arrow buttons to select the Document Camera.
3. Press the Enter button to select the source.
Switch Source for Picture-inPicture
To swap the views shown in the
PIP and the main screen:
• If the PIP is not showing, press
PIP on the remote control to
display the PIP on screen.
• Press Camera
and select
the Swap PIP icon.
