HOW TO REGISTER A DEVICE WITHOUT A
BROWSER ON THE DBU WI-FI
1. Find the device’s MAC Address in the device’s system settings. Click Here for instructions
on locating the MAC address for the devices listed below:
Xbox 360
Playstation 3
Wii U
Roku
Xbox One
Playstation 4
Apple TV
Chromecast
Blu-Ray Player
NOTE: MAC is often listed under network settings and may be referred to as Hardware
Address or Physical Address. If a Wireless and Wired MAC is listed, use the Wireless MAC.
2. To register the device, click here to be taken to the ClearPass login page.
* Only use the link on a computer/smartphone that is already connected to the DBU Network.
3. Input WebAdvisor/Blackboard credentials, then click Log In.
4. ClearPass will open the default Manage Devices view. This screen displays all devices
currently connected.
5. On the left-hand side, click Create Device.
6. Input a Device Name and the MAC Address for the device needing to be registered. Once
complete, click Create Device at the bottom.
NOTE: The AirGroup feature is not currently enabled on the DBU wireless network.
7. If successful, a message will appear stating that the device has been successfully created.
Disconnect the device from all wireless connections and then re-connect to the DBUGuest Wi-Fi.
