Step 1
•
•
Make sure you have a safe, flat area for assembly, approximately 20’ x 20’.
Double check to ensure that there are no components missing.
Step 2
MAIN STRUCTURE ASSEMBLY 4’x8’ or 8’x8’ frame
•
•
Layout all four Trusses [4(B) for 8’x8’ or 2(A) and 2(B) for 4’x8’] - assemble dock upside down.
NOTE: Place Trusses (A) on opposite sides of each other for 4’x8’ frame.
Ensure 45˚ corner cut-outs match on all four sides. This is the top of the dock and should be on the bottom when
assembling.
Place Square Aluminum Tubes (C) at each corner (4 - 7” Square Aluminum Tubes for a Ramp, 2 - 7” Square Aluminum Tubes and 2 legs for Quick Link Dock). Make sure that threaded inserts [used for clamping knobs (K)]
on corners of legs are facing inwards.
Line up holes of Truss with leg and insert 3/8” x 3-½” Carriage Bolts (G) and 3/8” K-locknuts (H), hand tighten
only.

ADDING CORNER BRACES (E)
NOTE: If using 4’- 8’ legs see step 7 before continuing.
Add Corner Braces (E) on a 45˚ angle between Truss (A)
and Truss (B) on 4’x8’ or, Truss (B) and Truss (B) on 8’x8’.
Insert 1/4” x 3/4” Hex Cap Screw (I) into existing holes
and tighten with 1/4” K-locknut (J).
Hand tighten only.
NOTE: Bolts (I) should be inserted in the direction shown in
photo beside.

INSERT ROUND TUBING (D)
•
Insert Round Galvanized Tube (D) into Square Aluminum Tube
(C) (not required for Ramp, only 2 necessary for Quick Link
Dock).
Ensure that end with a hole on Round Galvanized Tube is
facing upward (needed for foot pads).
If using Leg Extensions, they can be installed at this time.

Step 5
TIGHTEN CLAMPING KNOBS (K)
•
•
Tighten Clamping Knobs (K) gently.
Repeat on all legs.
Step 6
ATTACH FOOT PADS (F)
•
Foot Pads (F) maybe installed with the ridge up or down
depending on the lake bottom (as per picture beside).
•
•
•
Insert 3/8” x 3-½” Carriage Bolts (G) into existing holes
and tighten with 3/8” K-locknuts (H).
Note: Do not overtighten, allow pad to swivel.
Repeat for remaining legs.
Step 7
45˚ LEG SUPPORTS (L) (only 4’-8’ length)
•
•
45˚ legs supports (L) to be used only with 4’-8’ leg
length.
Seperate 4 right hand 45˚ leg supports (L-rh) from 4 left
hand 45˚ Leg Supports (L-lh).
Each leg will have attached one right and one left 45˚
Leg Support (L).
When 45˚ Leg Supports (L) are in place, they will line up
with threaded insert on one end and existing bolts from
Corner Braces (E), that you have already installed, on
other end. Reuse existing bolts (I) and nuts (J).
Insert 1/4” x 3/4” Hex Cap Screw (I) through both 45˚
Leg Supports (L) and insert into threaded hole in leg (C).
Hand tighten only.

Step 10 FLIP DOCK OVER
•
Flip the dock frame over to continue the rest of installation.
Step 11 ALUMINUM JOIST KIT
•
NOTE: If installing Hinge Kit, Hanging T or Hanging L Kit, see note in step 17
first.
•
Aluminum Joist Kits, rather than wooden joists, are highly recommended
to lighten overall weight and to prolong a maintenence free lifetime of the
product.
•
If installing Aluminum Joist Kit - see instructions in joist kit package or at www.
canadadocks.ca/assembly-instructions.
•
NOTE: If using ThruFlow™ Decking see step 14.
Step 12 FLOATING DOCKS
•
•
If assembling a Floating Dock Kit - see instructions in dock package or at
www.canadadocks.ca/assembly-instructions
NOTE: Attach floats before installing decking.
Step 13 ALPHADECK® DECKING
•
•
If using AlphaDeck® Decking please follow AlphaDeck® Decking instructions
in AlphaDeck® package or at www.canadadocks.ca/assembly-instructions
AlphaDeck® is made entirely from polyvinyl chloride, PVC, the most common
plastic found in building products and construction. Ideal for those who prefer
the traditional deck board look.
Step 14 THRUFLOW™ DECKING
•
•
If using ThruFlow™ Decking please follow ThruFlow™ Decking instructions in
ThruFlow™ package or at www.canadadocks.ca/assembly-instructions
ThruFlow™ polypropylene decking will make the dock lighter (compared to
wood) and will prolong the lifetime of the maintenance free product.
Step 15 WOOD DECKING
•
•
If installing wood decking - see additional instructions in at www.
canadadocks.ca/assembly-instructions
NOTE: Check with your local building codes and regulations when
constructing the deck. Do not use green pressure treated wood with
CanadaDocks™, the preservative reacts with aluminum frames.

Step 16 ANCHORING
•
•
•
•
•
N
Anchoring is REQUIRED. All docks must be anchored
at the furthest point from shore to prevent damage
during storms. The amount of anchoring is determined
N
based on the currents/wave size on the body of water.
If anchoring a Standing Dock, attach Chain Retainer (N) to
inside leg as shown. Slide chain through key hole in Chain
Retainer (N) and pull down to lock into position.
If anchoring a Floating Dock, attach chains to Eye Bolts as shown. For further
information on anchoring floating docks see Floating Dock instructions in dock
package or at www.canadadocks.ca/assembly-instructions
Using an “X” pattern for chains under dock is recommended (Figure1,
Figure 2)
NOTE: Chain Retainers (N) must be purchased separately. Eye Bolts are
supplied with floating dock kit.

Step 17 JOINING ADDITIONAL DOCKS/DOCK SECTIONS
•
•
To join two or more docks together, simply use our Quick Link Docks which have two legs for easier installation.
See illustrations below or see Quick Link Dock instructions in Quick Link Dock package or at www.canadadocks.
