Open Telecom is working with a wide range of component suppliers to provide our

In all areas, we can offer solutions that are second to none. Through our attention to
detail, we provide tailored solutions.
The other benefit that we provide to our customers is our assembly of backplanes and
daughter cards. We perform soldering, surface mount, and press-fit work efficiently.
As a part of system work, we offer backplanes and mechanical products. We have been
working on VMEbus, VME64, CompactPCI, AdvancedTCA and many modern customized
backplanes. Mechanical products, including subracks, shelves, desk-top cases and
cabinets, have been key products in our business.
In 2013, we started production of network systems which we took over from Millinet.
Gigabit Ethernet Switches, xDSL products, FTTH products, Home Gateway terminals are
the major areas of our network business. We will lead the high-tech convergence
solutions in wired/wireless and broadcasting systems.
In addition, we have been investing in bio-medical area for more than 5 years. Medical
mobility aids, medical analyzers and smart home solutions will lead high quality of human
life. Typical products are IT based EMG wheelchairs, electric scooters, head motion
controlled mouse, bruxism analyzer, etc. Our goal in this area is to supply durable and
intelligent medical equipments in medical area.

We wish all of you, customers, health and prosperity. Since starting the business
in May 1998, we, Open Telecom, have made different outcomes and drawn
possibilities in the fields of IT, industrial automation and medical instruments, and
we intend to take a step forward based on the past business outcomes.
Based on the business philosophy of challenging, customer-oriented, and mutual
development, we have challenged for a new opportunity and sought after
customers’ trust, and in addition, we have exerted ourselves to make the basis for
further developments. All the executives and staff of Open Telecom participate in

3.3V/5.0V logic:
ERNI CompactPCI backplanes support both the conventional 5.0V logic and the new
3.3V logic. The user selects one of the two possible logics by wiring the V(I/O)
connection to the desired voltage. Auxiliary signals such as reset, power-fail, and
sensing lines can be adapted using a 5-pin header.
Coding:
To prevent damage to the system resulting from the incorrect insertion of cards with
differing logic, the slots can be coded. The specification prescribes bright-blue
coding for 5.0V systems and cadmium yellow coding for 3.3V systems. Coding keys
are used for installation.
Power supply:
Power can be supplied to ERNI backplanes either using combined screw/flat-pin plug
connections (faston terminals) or in combination with bolted-on conductor bars.
Depending on the desired supply voltage, 3.3V or 5.0V is applied to the V(I/O) terminal
connection via the conductor bar. As standard, the conductor bar is fitted to V(I/O)
and the 5.0V terminal connections.

From single component to completely assembled subracks
Open Telecom offers a range of subrack components, including horizontal rails,
threaded strips, insulation strips, spring gaskets, ejector handles and fixing screws.
Possible subrack solutions are 3U, 6U, 7U, 8U, 9U, and most of customized designs.
A range of subrack systems is offered, including standard bus systems and customized
systems. VMEbus, VME64, CompactPCI, AdvancedTCA and proprietary bus systems can
be designed and manufactured upon request.

This is to be used only when you operate Freelz for practice or
driving of wheelchair.
It can be charged through computer USB port within 1 hour.
Once it is charged, you use it about 3~6 hours.
If you want to charge during driving, please connect the cable to the
port of display module. In this case, you can operate it until the
batteries of the wheelchair run out.

Standard VR2 and VSI-50 controllers are available from PG Drives.
The basic joystick control is possible and it can be converted to
EMG control by turning-on the display module. Joystick will work
only when the display module is switched off.

To start practice on screen or driving power wheelchair, user needs
to turn on the switch on head set. All menus are on the screen to
practice EMG control prior to driving.
Fixing parts, Safety stop switch, Ultra-sonic sensor
Safety Stop
• Fixing parts are to be fixed to the power wheelchair first, and
then, the display module and VR2(or VSI50) controller can be
fixed by screws. Mostly, this is customized for each model.
• Safety stop switch enables user to stop wheelchair by pressing
the red button by head or other available way. It turns off the
display module and deactivates all driving functions. It can be
reset after pressing the button again.
• Ultra-sonic sensor module detects obstacles within 1.8m range.
When obstacle is detected, it reduce the speed to the lowest with
beeping sound. If the obstacle is very close about 35cm, it stops
going-forward action, and user can make only turning left and right.

Using Freelz-VR2 Control System
Freelz can be equipped to most of power wheelchairs in the
market. Freelz-318 is using Mambo-318 power wheelchair and
Freelz-VR2 control system. Freelz-318 has following features ;
- Basic movement control by teeth-clenching :
Left-teeth, right-teeth, both-teeth (Joystick control is possible)
- Possible driving mode
Turning left / right.
Going forward (9 directions) and going backward (3 directions)
Adjustment of moving direction, rotation
- Control when it is stopped
Left-teeth clenching : Left-turn slowly
Right-teeth clenching : Right-turn slowly
Both-teeth clenching twice : Switch from moving forward mode
to backward mode, backward mode to forward mode
Both-teeth clenching long (more than 2 seconds) :
Moving forward from forward mode or
moving backward from backward mode
- Control when it is moving forward
Left-teeth clenching shortly : Left-turn slowly
Right-teeth clenching shortly : Right-turn slowly
Left-teeth clenching long (more than 2 sec.) : Quick left-turn
Right-teeth clenching long (more than 2 sec.) : Quick right-turn
Both-teeth clenching : Stop
- Safety stop : Pressing red button by head deactivates all
