LE’s Wireless Gateway receives signals from wireless
transmitters and relays them to facility monitoring systems. This
device streamlines communications and allows an unlimited
variety of wireless equipment to communicate directly with a BMS or
NMS. A robust web interface is also included with the Wireless Gateway.
The web interface provides direct alarm notification, and also allows users
to monitor transmitters at a glance and to operate the Wireless Gateway
as a stand-alone device.
The convenient wireless design reduces installation and system
expansion costs frequently associated with hard-wired sensors and
systems. The Wireless Gateway operates over a wireless mesh network,
which helps increase system performance and allows sensors to relay
signals from other sensors farther away from the main unit. Point
repeaters can also be used to increase the distance between the Wireless
Gateway and the wireless sensors.
The Wireless Gateway can be integrated into larger systems, such as a
network management system via SNMP, or a building management
system through BACnet. Modbus protocols can serve as a network
repeater to convey alarm status information to a centralized location.
