Programming
Q. What satellite providers and satellites work with the Pathway X1 antenna?
A. The Pathway X1 antenna is exclusively compatible with DISH programming. The antenna can receive programming
from DISH western arcs, which consists of satellites 110°, 119°, and 129°.
Q. Can I get HD service with the Pathway X1 antenna?
A. HD programming is available. Keep in mind that in order to receive HD programming, you must have an HDTV as
well as an activated HD receiver with an HD programming package (sold separately).
Q. I have cable at home and don’t want to switch or pay for satellite programming all year when I will only need it for a
few months. What are my options?
A. DISH offers pay-as-you-go programming. There are no contracts and no commitments—simply pay for the months
you would like satellite television service. Call 1-866-609-9374 to sign-up or visit www.winegard.com/dishnetwork for

Q. Will my DISH service work outside of the continental United States?
A. Generally, coverage is limited to the continental United States. Coverage may be available outside of the United
States but will be limited.
General Features
Q. Does the Pathway X1 antenna automatically toggle between satellites?
A. Yes. As you change the channel, the Pathway X1 antenna will automatically toggle to the corresponding satellite.
Q. How do I protect the Pathway X1 antenna from theft?
A. The antenna comes with an eyelet attached to the base; the eyelet enables the antenna to be padlocked or secured
to a permanent fixture (not included).
Q. How many receivers can I hook up to the Pathway X1 antenna?
A. The Pathway X1 antenna has two satellite outputs. Two single-tuner receivers can be hooked up to the antenna. Refer
to the manual for more information on hooking up the antenna to one or two receivers.
Q. If I hook up two TVs to the antenna, can I watch any program on either TV?
A. You can watch any program on either TV as long as the programs are on the same satellite.
Q. What receivers are compatible with the Pathway X1 antenna?
A. The Pathway X1 antenna must be used with a DISH Solo HD receiver. Examples of Solo HD receivers include DISH
211k, 211, 411, and 211z receivers.
Q. Does Winegard Company recommend using a DVR with the Pathway X1 antenna?
A. DISH Solo HD model receivers 211k and 211z can support an external hard drive for DVR recording (sold separately).
There is a $40 one-time activation fee for the DVR function.
Q. Can I mount the Pathway X1 antenna to a vehicle?
A. With Model RK-2000 roof mount kit (sold separately), the Pathway X1 can be permanently mounted to a vehicle.
Q. Will the Pathway X1 antenna work while in-motion?
A. No, the Pathway X1 antenna is a stationary antenna.
Setup
Q. Does the Pathway X1 antenna need to be perfectly level?
A. No. However, the antenna may take longer to lock onto signal if the antenna is not level.

Q. How do I access the receiver setup menu after initial receiver setup?
A. Press “Menu” on your remote. Select option 6, “System Setup.” Then, select option 1, “Installation.” Select option 1
again, “Point Dish.” Finally, select “Check Switch.”
Q. Do I need to go through all receiver setup steps every time I use the antenna?
A. Every time the antenna is moved to a new location, you will need to complete receiver setup. Simply choose the
state that you are currently in, and select “Scan” to begin scanning for satellites. Also, if the primary receiver changes
to a channel on a different satellite, the secondary receiver will need to complete setup again on the new satellite.
Q. What setup is required for the secondary receiver if the primary receiver toggles to a different satellite?
A. Every time the primary receiver toggles to a different satellite, a Check Switch test must be run on the secondary
receiver. During secondary receiver setup, the Check Switch test will install the satellite that the primary receiver is
receiving signal from. Consult the manual for more information.
Q. What do I need to set up the Pathway X1 antenna?
A. You will need a TV and an activated receiver with programming package. The antenna must be used with a DISH
Solo HD receiver; examples include DISH 211k, 211, 411, and 211z receivers.
Accessories
Q. Is the Pathway X1 antenna compatible with the Carryout ladder mount?
A. No—the antenna is not compatible with the Carryout ladder mount. Installing the antenna on the Carryout ladder
mount on a moving vehicle may lead to serious injury and/or equipment and property damage.
Q. Is the Pathway X1 antenna compatible with the TR-1518 tripod mount?
A. Yes, the Pathway X1 antenna is compatible with the TR-1518 tripod mount.

Q. What should I do if the Pathway X1 antenna stops working or if I can’t set up the antenna properly?
