SP218A/SP226A KVM Switch
Micronet
Faster and Easier Networks
Control multiple PCs from a single console
Single user KVM Switches are widely used today and can be found in almost every
data center. Micronet's KVM Switch could handle dozens of Servers and allows
you to connect multi-platform CPUs, such as Windows, FreeBSD, Linux, Unix and
Novell. SP218A/SP226A within 8/16 ports, both devices allow a user to easily
access any of the connected CPUs via a simple switching action that can be
accomplished by a mechanical push button or an OSD (on screen display) menu.
OSD (on screen display)
The OSD of SP218A/SP226A provides an on-screen control panel. It helps your
management on these CPUs. You can name each computer then set password if the
security issue is concerned. The auto-scan rate can be set from 1 to 255 seconds
when the OSD is enabled. It can auto-switch between all CPUs on KVM Switch
periodically.

Application
SP218A and SP226A are suitable for any application where a user needs to operate
several computers simultaneously. Accessory KVM products are available to
provide extended cabling distances and console signal conversion. For example, a
computer engineer could use a KVM switch to operate both PCs and Novell
Servers through a single PC keyboard, monitor, and mouse. A control room
operator could remotely switch between multiple computers located throughout a
production area. Other applications for KVM switches include helpdesks,
classrooms, assembly lines, desktop publishing, farms, etc.
