MinePhone
Mine Site Technologies’ (MST) MinePhone handsets offer a simple and robust solution for Voice over Internet Protocol
(VoIP) communications in mining environments. The handset allows users to make and receive VoIP phone calls from any
area of the mine covered by the wireless network and includes mine specific functionality including Push To Talk (PTT),
emergency alarms and a battery life designed to last an entire shift. The handset is IEEE 802.11b/g (Wi-Fi) compliant and
uses Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) for both voice calls and text messaging. The units can be configured using the on
screen menu system or via a web browser simplifying system deployment.
