1. Standard Accessories:
Your INSPECTIS C12x HD optical inspection system delivers complete with
the following items:
- Complete Camera System with Stand and Built-in LED illumination
- Metal base with M6 screw and key
- 12V DC Power Supply
- Mains Cable
- HDMI cable

2. About C12x
INSPECTIS C12x is an integrated 720p High Definition video inspection
system for fast, ergonomic and reliable optical inspection of any object,
specially printed circuit boards (PCB). C12x incorporate high resolution lens
system with12x optical zoom, autofocus, on-board camera and lens controls,
integrated pure white LED illumination, and 240 mm working distance.
C12x delivers crisp video with excellent colour and outstanding dynamic via
a HDMI connector located at back side of its stand. The HD video signal is
connected directly to HDMI input of a LCD Monitor or to laptop/PC via
USB3.0 or PCIe video capture devices for image capture, software analysis,
documentation and measurements.
An extensive range of optional extra lenses, illuminations, advanced remote
control, digital video capture and software, allows versatile configurations
and installation in all working situations.

3. Connections and Power on
1. Assemble the camera system on its metal base and tighten its screw.
2. Attach the provided HDMI cable between HDMI output of the C12x and
the HDMI input of your monitor.
3. (Optional) Attach the advanced Remote Control unit to the 8p MiniDin
connector.
4. (Optional) For ESD protection, connect the provided cable to the
ground connection point of the C12x and GND using the M3 screw.
5. Connect the Power supply to 5P MiniDin-input of the system and turn
on the switch.
When main switch is turned on, indication LED on the top of the camera will
light and camera will be turned on automatically.

4. Optics
Standard lens of INSPECTIS features 12x zoom and 190-240mm
focusing range with Autofocus and Iris size control. On-screen
magnification of C12 is varied between ~ 2.2x and 26x on 24” monitor.
If higher magnification is required, optional +2 and +5 micro lenses can
be attached to INSPCTIS.
5. Illumination
C12x is equipped with 18 pcs ultra bright pure white LED light sources,
light angle adjustment and On/Off switch.

In addition to the built-in LED illumination system, standard Φ 66mm white
or UV Ring Lights with or without Polarisation Filter can be attached to front
of the optical camera.

6. Controls
6.1 Basic on-board Camera and Lens Controls
C12x features on-board Control buttons on top of the camera unit.
One push White Balance

Zoom in

Auto/Manual focust
Zoom: Zoom-in and Zoom-out by pressing the buttons.
Iris: Aperture size of the lens is increased or decreased by pressing these
buttons. Iris adjustment allows you to control brightness and depth of field
(dept of focus) of the image. Decreasing Iris size will produce darker images
but larger depth of field.
Note: Image quality is improved in most cases when Iris size is slightly
decreased due to reduction of residual lens aberrations.
Auto Focus On/Off: Switches between automatic focus and fix focus
modes.
Colour: Sets white balance of the camera using One-push method!
Put a white paper under the camera, adjust iris to get a good picture and
push the white button once. White balance of the camera is calculated and
set for producing best colour.

6.2 Advanced Remote Camera and Lens Controls (Optional)
Remote Control Unit is a desk-top device for advance camera adjustments,
following parameters. RCU is attach to the 8p MiniDin input of the C12x.

An optional double pedal foot switch can be connected to this Control Unit
for hands-free operation.

7. Care and Maintenance
Your INSPECTIS HD is a precision optical instrument and should be treated
with care. Follow following maintenance instructions to guarantee correct
function and long life of your instrument.
 Turn off the device when not in use.
 Always put the lens protection cap on the camera when not in use or
when being stored.
 When moving the INSPECTIS, carry it by holding the stand and the base.
Never lift it up by holding the camera unit.
 Clean optical surfaces only by lens cleaning tissue damp with pure
alcohol (Isopropyl or ethanol)
 Clean the housing with a slightly damp cloth with detergents.
 Never disassemble the device.
