1. General information
1.1 Preface
This installation manual is intended to assist you in
installing, connecting and commissioning the built-in power
supply unit.
1.2 Correct use
The built-in power supply unit is a safety transformer
complying with EN 61558-2-6. It allows the devices B6R
WM, B6L WM, LANRTC and the I/O-9/8 module to be
connected directly to the 230 V mains power supply.
The transformer may only be operated when it is built into
the intended devices.
Operation in damp or wet rooms or outdoors is not
permitted.
Any other use than that indicated is not permitted!
1.3 Safety instructions and warnings
This unit has been constructed and tested in accordance
with the relevant current technical regulations. It left the
factory in perfect condition in terms of safety and reliability.
To maintain this condition and to ensure risk-free operation,
the instructions and warnings given in this installation guide
must be observed by the user.
• The built-in power supply unit may only be used for the
purpose intended by the manufacturer.
• Fitting and installation may only be carried out by a
qualified electrician.
• Before opening the unit, always switch off the power
supply and check that it is inactive by measuring.
• During assembly, be careful to avoid any action that could
contravene the requirements in the applicable equipment
safety standards relevant to the device, as this could
render the device unsafe to use.

2. Installation
2.1 Opening the device
The procedure is the same for all devices.
The appearance may differ slightly.

2.2 Installing the built-in power supply unit
The installation must be carried out before the
device is mounted on the wall. Devices that are
already mounted must be removed from the wall.
The built-in power supply unit is screwed to the underside
of the device using the 4 accompanying Z3 x 8 PT screws.
Because the name plate still shows the 24 V
voltage the 230 V label must also be attached.
It is to be affixed to the cable inlet side above
the cable inlet.

3. Connection terminals
3.1 Allgemein
To make the connection, connect the phase
and the neutral wire directly to the power
supply unit. In the casing, the earth conductor must be connected to the screw labelled
with the earth conductor symbol.
B6R WM
The output voltage of the transformer is connected to the
ST311 terminal of the B6R WM using the supplied cable.
The device is designed for a permanent connection to the power supply circuit only.
It must be connected by a qualified electrician only.
The power supply circuit for this device
requires a suitable, easily accessible power
isolating device with a minimum contact
gap of 3 mm and a fuse element to protect
against short circuits, both already provided
on site.

I/O-9/8 WM module
The output voltage of the transformer is connected to the
ST506 terminal of the B6L WM/LANRTC using the supplied
cable.
The output voltage of the transformer is connected to the
ST102 terminal using the supplied cable.
If the I/O 9/8 module is supplied with
alternating current (AC) it must not be used
for the power supply of sub-devices.
Sub-devices may only be supplied with
direct current (DC)!
