WHAT IS THE OPTIMAL OPERATING TIME OF THE PURIFIER?
DEAR VENTA CUSTOMER,
Many thanks for your confidence in the Venta Purifier. We are very
confident purified breathing air will improve your well-being. Here are
answer to some of the questions we are sometimes asked.
DO I NEED A VENTA PURIFIER?
Most people spend 85 % of their time indoors. Room air is 10 to 30
times more polluted than the air outside. That means that everyone
could use a Venta Purifier, really. All Venta products share one
function: they were developed to improve the quality of life in interior
spaces, with the best possible quality, with the highest standard of
service, and Made in Germany. The Venta Purifier is demonstrably
effective against frequent pollution in interior spaces that can impair
one‘s health and well-being. Even the smallest particles, to as little
as 0.07 µm, including pollen, bacteria and viruses are filtered out of
the room air.
WHY SHOULD I USE THE VENTA LP60 PURIFIER?
According to a study by the WHO, room air is often 10 - 30 times as
polluted as the air outside. You can use the Venta Purifier for yourself
and your family all year round. Spring and summer are the seasons
during which the Venta Purifier is especially useful, for example
for people strong hay fever and other allergies associated with air
quality.
HOW DOES THE PURIFIER WORK?
Polluted air and floating particles up to 0.07 µm, e.g. dust, tobacco
smoke, pollen, scent molecules – with optional VENTAcarb activated
carbon filter –, bacteria and viruses as well as gases are aspirated
from the air and filtered into the VENTAcel filter via the Venta prefilters. Cleaned air is then emitted into the room.
WHAT MAKES THE VENTA LP60 PURIFIER SO SPECIAL?
The LP60 uses a special filter technology based on patented membrane air-filter media. These have a special composition and mechanical stability, which results in unique performance characteristics in
HEPA and ULPA filtration, unsurpassed by other air filtration media
currently available on the market. The NELIOR membrane air-filter
medium is made of an especially homogenous fibre layer, with a fibre diameter in a range around 100 nanometres. This results in an up
to 50 % lower operating pressure differential and, at the same time,
the highest filtration efficiency.
That depends on the individual pollution level in a room. The longer
the device is operated, the more extensive the cleaning effect.
CAN THE DEVICE RUN FOR 24 HOURS A DAY?
Yes, the device is suitable for continuous operation at very low power consumption with maximum 33 Watt at the highest setting.
With the help of the “Auto-button”, the Purifier can also automatically
react to changes in the room air. Depending on the level of particle
pollution in the room air, it increases or reduces the ventilator speed,
ensuring a very effective and efficient continuous operation for 24
hours a day.
HOW DO I KNOW IF THE ROOM AIR QUALITY HAS IMPROVED?
It is important to know whether the air quality in the room is improving. Most impurities or odours are invisible. The Venta “Air Quality”
display can help you examine the air quality in your home. The fully
automated air sensor continuously monitors the room air quality.
It shows the air quality in different colour levels on a clearly visible
display. Green means a very good air quality, while red means a bad
air quality.
HOW HIGH IS THE POWER CONSUMPTION OF THE LP60 PURIFIER?
The power consumption of the Venta LP60 lies at a maximum of 33
watt at level 5 and at 59 watt when the Boost function is activated.
HOW LOUD IS THE VENTA LP60 WHILE IT IS RUNNING?
The LP60 ranges from super-silent 19 dB(A) at level 1 to a very quiet
51 dB(A) at the highest level. At the “Boost” level, it reaches a noise
level of 60 db(A).
DOES THE DEVICE HAVE A NIGHT MODE?
The LP60 has a night mode, the so-called “Sleep Mode”. When this
is activated, the device reduces the ventilator level to 1 and dims the
display. A manual change in the strength of the air current is possible in night mode at any time.
WHAT ADVANTAGE DOES THE “BOOST” FUNCTION OFFER?
When the “Boost” function is activated, the Purifier uses its maximum cleaning performance to filter particularly severe air pollution
from the room air as quickly as possible.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE DEVICE IS NOT USED FOR A LONGER TIME?
The device can be put back in operation at any time, without a
problem.
WHAT MAINTENANCE MEASURES ARE REQUIRED FOR THE VENTA
PURIFIER? DO THE FILTERS NEED TO BE REPLACED?

This makes it possible for the VENTAcel filter to achieve a filtration
performance of ≥0.07 µm and leads to a total filtration of 99.95 %.
FOR WHAT ROOM SIZE IS THE LP60 RECOMMENDED?
Depending on the air pollution level, Venta Purifiers are particularly
suited for rooms up to 75 m².
WHAT IS THE OPTIMAL INSTALLATION LOCATION FOR THE DEVICE?
The Venta LP60 Purifier filters hazardous substances from the
air with the help of VENTAcel filters. The filter utilisation duration
depends on the number operating hours and the air quality in the
room. In general, given continuous operation of the air purifier 24
hours per day, the filters need to be replaced after one year (a reminder will appear in the interactive touch display). It is also advisable
to clean the pre-filters from time to time. Cleaning of the pre-filters is
recommended every 1-2 months or as required.
In addition, cleaning the air quality sensor every 2 months or as required is also recommended. To do this, open the service panel on
the rear of the device and clean the air quality sensor as well as the
openings in the service panel with a slightly moist cotton bud. Then
dry the same areas with a dry cotton bud.
The device should be set up in such a way that the room air can be
aspirated and emitted without hindrance. This means a minimum
distance of 0.5 m above the device and 0.2 m on all sides to walls,
furniture etc.

THERE IS NO AIR COMING OUT OF THE AIR OUTLET. WHAT CAN I DO?
Both in the device and when purchasing additional filters, every
VENTAcel filter is protected with a high-grade foil. Please check if
you have removed this plastic foil from the VENTAcel filter.
The device was not switched on. Plug the mains plug into an outlet
and switch on the device. If the air quality is good and the automatic
mode is activated, the device automatically switches to level one to
save energy.
THE AIR FLOW COMING OUT OF THE AIR PURIFIER IS MUCH WEAKER
THAN BEFORE. WHAT CAN I DO?
Please check whether the pre-filter is polluted and clean the prefilters if necessary.
Check the display. If a “Change Filter” message appears, the VENTAcel filter should be exchanged.
If you haven‘t removed the entire packaging material from the filters
when you inserted the filters, the performance will be impaired.
Make sure that you have removed the entire packaging material.
THE AIR QUALITY IS NOT IMPROVING, EVEN THOUGH THE DEVICE HAS
BEEN IN OPERATION FOR A LONG TIME. WHAT CAN I DO?
One of the filters was not inserted in the device. Make sure that all
filters are inserted properly in the following sequence from inside to
outside used: 1) VENTAcel filter 2) Pre-filter.

THE DEVICE INDICATES THAT I HAVE TO EXCHANGE A FILTER, EVEN
THOUGH I‘VE ALREADY DONE THIS. WHAT CAN I DO?
Make sure that the VENTAcel filter as well as the VENTA pre-filters
are inserted correctly. Next, touch the OK-button in the display for
about 3 seconds until a short signal sound is heard and the indication on the display disappears.
THE DEVICE IS NOT WORKING.
Make sure that the Purifier is connected to the power supply and the
coupling of the power supply is inserted into the device.
Can the filters be washed?
Only the pre-filters can be washed. Please note that the pre-filters
must be completely dry before installation.
The other filters (VENTAcel, VENTAcarb) can NOT be washed and
can also not be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner.
WHAT ADVANTAGES DOES THE VENTACARB FILTER OFFER?
The VENTAcarb is an activated carbon filter that is inserted into the
VENTAcel filter and that filters odours and gases.
WHAT CAN BE DONE AGAINST COLD TOBACCO SMOKE?

The Purifier achieves its optimal effect if it is run continuously over
night at the highest performance setting after the smoking has
finished. By the next morning, the room air will be cleaned of any
unpleasant, cold smoke and odours. To be able to achieve a faster
effect, insert the VENTAcarb filter into the VENTAcel filter, which
filters odours and gases.
