I. SAFETY WARNINGS
A. General Disclaimer
Riding ACTON Blink® can be a dangerous activity. Certain conditions may cause the
equipment to fail without fault of the manufacturer. Like other electric transportation
products, ACTON Blink® is intended to move and accordingly it is possible for the rider
to lose control, fall, collide with other objects, and/or get into dangerous situations
that no amount of care, instruction or expertise can completely eliminate. If such things
occur you can be seriously injured or die, even when using safety equipment and using
other precautions.
RIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK AND USE COMMON SENSE.
This manual contains many warnings and cautions concerning the consequences of
failing to maintain, inspect or properly use your ACTON Blink®. Because any incident
can result in serious injury or even death, we repeat the warning of possible serious
injury or death.
WEAR HELMET AND PROTECTIVE GEAR AT ALL TIMES.
B. Age, Weight & Health
ACTON Blink® is designed for adults and for older teens. The recommended rider age
is 16 years of age and older. Keep ACTON Blink® away from small children and young
teens.
DO NOT EXCEED THE WEIGHT LIMIT OF 220 LBS.
C. Conditions for safe riding
where ACTON Blink® may be used. Ride defensively. Watch out for potential obstacles
that could catch your wheels, force you to swerve suddenly, or lose control. Be careful
to avoid pedestrians, inline skaters, motor vehicles, other skateboarders, scooters,
bikes, children or animals that may enter your path.
Always wear proper protective equipment such as an approved safety helmet (with
chin strap securely buckled), wrist guards, elbow pads, and kneepads. A helmet may be
legally required by local law or regulations in your area. A long-sleeved shirt and long
pants are recommended. Before riding, be sure to check that all wheels, trucks and the
battery case are secured properly.
WARNING: AVOID WATER
ACTON Blink® is not water-proof. Do not ride in the rain, wet or icy weather, as the
electrical and drive components could be damaged. Always ride on dry, paved surfaces.
The side LEDs on Blink® are only decorative, not illuminating lights. Do not ride Blink®

D. Battery Handling & Disposal
Your Blink® may not have a fully charged battery when first received. Accordingly, you
should charge the battery prior to your first use. Battery is best used under optimal
conditions: temperature 50-75F (10-24C), absolute humidity 45-85%.
NO RIDING AT/BELOW FREEZING TEMPERATURE
Never store or use the battery in freezing or below freezing temperatures.

drain the battery. When the battery is drained, it is VERY susceptible to damage.
When the Blink® is not in regular use, recharge the battery at least once a month until
normal use is resumed.
Use only the recommended charger and use caution when charging. The charger
should be regularly examined for possible damage to the cord, plug, enclosure or other
parts. The charger should be operated only by an adult. Do not operate the charger
near flammable materials. Unplug the charger and disconnect from Blink® when not in
use and charging is complete.
E. Radio Interference Precautions
ACTON Blink® incorporates a sophisticated communication system to ensure
connection between the remote controller and the skateboard. The connection could
be unstable or lost when the remote controller’s battery is low. Stop riding when the
remote’s low battery warning appears.
Try to avoid areas with high-power electromagnetic radiating equipment, such as
radio towers, powerlines or radar. In some rare cases, connection may also be lost
®
when the connection is lost. If a loss of connection happens more than once, stop use
immediately and avoid using Blink® again in such a reason.
Please contact ACTON for further assistance.

modes from the App. Please download the app “ACTON” to your phone. Currently we
only o er the app for Android 4.3+ and iOS iPhone 5+. For your safety, please set to

Also, follow these tips:
• Start by moving forward as slowly as possible
• Push the throttle in small increments.
• Keep a wide stance on the board
• Lean forward when accelerating.
• While braking, pull the throttle backward gently
B. Low Battery Warning/ Charging
When battery is low, a small speaker from the skateboard will beep several times as
a warning. However, sometimes you may not hear that sound. It is recommended to
ride carefully when you feel the motor is weak as it may shut down automatically. In
such cases, stop using Blink® and charge it with the provided charger.
The same beeping sound will come from the remote control when the battery is low
in the remote control. In the event that it does, stop using Blink® immediately as
riding performance can be extremely unpredictable while the remote tries to stay
connected to the board while the battery charge depletes.
ALWAYS CHARGE THE BATTERY AFTER IT DRAINS.
The battery must get charged immediately after it drains for long term battery
longevity. If the state of charge is allowed to remain below minimum for too long, it
may not be able to be recharged.

Red = Charging
Charging the skateboard is indicated by the LED indicator on the charger. The LED
will turn from red to green as it finishes charging. Charging the remote controller is
C. Sleeping mode
Blink® includes an energy saving mode- sleep mode-to prevent the battery from dying
if the user forgets to turn it off. After the system keeps idle for 5 minutes, both the
remote and the skateboard will go into energy saving/sleep mode. To reconnect the
two, both the board and the remote will have to be turned off. Do not alternate turning
them off and back on- make sure they are both off together and then turn them back on
after at least five seconds of off time.
the board is in normal operating mode or sleep mode. If the board remains on, the
battery charge will deplete.
