Safety & Warnings
This product is intended to be installed and serviced by a qualied licensed electrician. Install in
accordance with the National Electric Code, and local regulations.
Only power with a regulated (listed) constant voltage Class 2 power supply (12-24V DC).
Ensure applicable wire is installed between driver, xture, and any controls in between. When choosing
wire, factor in voltage drop, amperage rating and type (in-wall rated, wet location rated, etc.).
Inadequate wire installation could overheat wires and cause re.
This product is rated for indoor installation and only for dry locations.
Do not modify this product beyond the instructions in this guide or the warranty will be voided.

Thank you for choosing LT-840 DMX512 Decoder. LT840 decoder is designed via advanced microelectronic control technology to convert universal
DMX 512/1990 signal into pwm signal. This compact
decoder works with DMX512 console, 256-level
brightness control. 0-100% brightness or different
effect. It can control RGBW led lights.

Remarks
This decoder occupies 3 addresses. Dip switches from 1 to 9 are binary
value coding switches. These switches are used to set DMX512 initial
address code. The 1st bit is LSC and the 9th bit is MSC. Dip switche at
downward position is ON and at upward position is OFF.
3.1 Setting the DMX Address on LT-840:

For Data transmission, metalster (Metal Thin Film resistor, 90-120W 1/4W)shouid be welded at the end of
each layout of DMX data cable (between foot 2, foot 3, Data + and Data -). Please also refer to your DMX
console manual to select a correct resistor.

This product is suitable for dry location. Avoid direct sun light.
The condition of radiation will affect the working life of controller. Please install the product in a
good radiation condition.
The output voltage of LED power supply should comply with product’s voltage range.
This product is a high current device, please ensure to have proper wire connection to avoid parts
damage and re.
Ensure all wire connection are correct before power debugging to avoid damages
All the switching power supply must be well grounded
Product maintenance should be done by professionals or contact supplier for assitance
5. After-sale service
This product comes with 2 years ltd warranty, lifelong technical maintenance. The warranty excludes
improper connection to power supply damages, working overload, manual damages and force
majeure factors.
Repair or replacement as provided under this warranty is exclusive remedy of the customer. We shall not
be liable for any incidental or consequential damages for bench of any stipulation in this warranty.
For the sake of the convenience to repair, please don’t tear up or obliterate the product label.

7. Low Voltage Input:
Input power to the DC+ and DC- with Class 2 regulated (low voltage) power source.
If attaching RGB Flex Strip to LT-840 DMX512, correct polarity is imperative; Black (or White) wire is positive
(+) and goes to “V+” terminal. The common format is to insert the Red wire to Ch1, Green wire to Ch2 and
Blue wire to Ch3. If unit is set to DMX Channel1, the unit will automatically occupy channels 1,2,3 and 4 on
the master DMX console. Ch4 is for single color LED Flex Strip.
If attaching a single color, the format is to attach the positive to COM and negative to Ch1 (but can also
be Channel 2,3 or 4)

Warning: Input voltage must be identical to output voltage of the LED Fixture!
WIRE 6-8 MM (0.25-0.30")
Exposed wire should not be more than 6- 8 mm long & solder tip (tinned). Do not allow
Wires to cross and insure all exposed wire is fully inserted into the screw terminals. Hand
tighten screw terminals. Use 22 to 14 AWG gauge wire for output terminals.
Input Voltage must be identical to output voltage of the LED
Input: For low voltage power input (12DC ~ 24VDC). V- and V+. Use only 22 to 14 gauge
wire for input terminals.
