INSTRUCTIONS:
Mount the Coat Rack on the Wall
(do not attempt alone)
Q.
Place the rack on the wall and insert one Wood Screw through the top, predrilled hole in Wall Support #2 and into the pilot hole you drilled in Step E.
Turn the screw only a few turns, tight enough to hold the Coat Rack on the wall
but loose enough to allow the Coat Rack to pivot.
R.
Align Wall Support #3 (at one end of the rack) so the top, pre-drilled hole is over
the second “X” you made on the wall. Check the rack to make sure it is level.
Once it is level, fasten Wall Support #3 securely to the wall using 1 Wood Screw
screwed directly into the wall stud located in Step C.
S.
Align Wall Support #1 (at the other end of the rack) so the top, pre-drilled hole is
over the first “X” you made on the wall. Check the rack to make sure it is level.
Once it is level, fasten Wall Support #1 securely to the wall using 1 Wood Screw
screwed directly into the wall stud located in Step B.
T.
Tighten Wall Support #2 securely to the wall (from Step Q).
U.
Use the lower pre-drilled holes in each Wall support to locate and drill a 1/8”
pilot hole in the wall for each of the three remaining Wood Screws. Insert 1
Wood Screw in each, and fasten Wall Supports to the wall.
V.
Place Wood Buttons over the wood screws in the wall supports and lightly tap
into place.
Measure and mark the desired location on the wall.
A.
Use a wall stud finder to locate and mark a stud, in the desired location on
the wall, more than 48” from a doorway, window or corner.
B.
Make a small “X” at the desired height (approx. 72”) on the wall where you
located the stud.
C.
Measure 48” to the left or right of your “X”. Locate and mark a point level
with your “X” on the wall and check for and mark a wall stud at that point.
NOTE: If your second mark does not line up with a wall stud,
you may need to seek an alternative method to secure the second
support to the wall
D.
Locate and mark the wall stud between the two “Xs”. (Approx 24” from
either “X”)
E.
Drill a 1/8" pilot hole where you made your “X” in step D.
