1. About This Release Version
1.1. General
This version is Ver1.2.0.
For details, refer to the User Guide and this Release Note.
1.2. Software version update method
Use SNC toolbox V.1.3.8 or later to update the version of the camera software to this version.
For the version update procedure, refer to the Application Guide.
1.3. Operation environment
The following operation environment is required for the computer to view or control the
image of the camera.

2. Newly Added Function
2.1. Functions added in Ver. 1.2.0
 The Alarm data CGI function is now supported.
 The CGI command for AudioOutVolume is now supported.
 The Digest Authentication function is now supported.
 The Referer check function is now supported.
2.2. Functions added in Ver. 1.1.1
 Unicast streaming and multicast streaming by the HTTP call control are now
supported.
However, the G6 Series camera will be executed by HTTP call control and the
SNC-HM662 will be executed by RTSP call control when accessing the camera
with the Active X Viewer.
 User Data is now supported with the JPEG streaming.

4. Corrected Problems

This problem has been corrected.
Timezone for the Onvif timezone setting cannot be set correctly. This problem has
been corrected.
It does not operate when Gateway is not set for Onvif Discover Devices. This
problem has been corrected.
400 Bad request is sent after 200 OK for SETUP transport during Multicast. This
problem has been corrected.
4.2. Problem improved in Ver. 1.1.1
 aac48_128 (AAC 128 Kbps) cannot be set with the AudioInCodec parameter of the
camera.cgi. This problem has been corrected.
(Problem from Ver 1.0.0. Corrected in Ver 1.1.1)
 The coarse image quality set for the low bit rate may not improve when set to high
bit rate when the bit rate setting is changed from low bit rate to high bit rate when
JPEG, CBR is selected in the video codec setting.
A correction has been made so this phenomenon will not occur.
To reflect this correction, execute the factory setting once after updating the version
from Ver 1.0.0 to Ver 1.1.1.

 The frame rate that can be set from ONVIF will be up to 13 fps when the 1080p
mode is selected in the “Video codec” → “FOV” setting. A correction has been
made so this can be set up to 30 fps.

5. Precautions for Setting
5.1. Precautions regarding the memory card
 Insertion and ejection of the memory card
 Turn off the power of the camera before inserting or ejecting the memory card.
 Turn off the power of the camera after removing the check mark in the
“Recording setting” → “Enable this recording” check box before removing the
memory card from the camera.
 Format of the memory card
 Always format the memory card with this unit before using it.
5.2. Precaution regarding the Edge Storage
 Set to the following setting to perform stable recording when recording.
 Set the “bit rate” to 3 Mbps or lower.
 Set the image size to 2560x1920 and set to the following setting when recording a
JPEG stream.
 Set the “Frame rate” to 2 fps or lower.
 Set the “Image quality” to 3 or lower.
 The recording data may become very large and missing image frame or disrupted

audio may occur depending on the setting and scene to be recorded when
recording with “Video quality” → “Image quality” selected. Confirm the codec
setting and environment before the actual operation.
The file will not be saved correctly when multiple events are set simultaneously, the
Edge Storage is selected as the action, and all the events are set with the same file
format.
In such a case, set the file format for each event with a separate name.
5.3. Version update using the SSL connection (HTTPS)
The version update cannot be performed with the SSL connection.
Perform the version update after disabling the SSL connection.
5.4. Precautions regarding the access list function
To use the access list function, execute the following procedure.
1. Place a check mark in the “Enable access restriction” check box
2. Select “Deny” for the filter type radio button
3. Press the “Add” button in the IPv4 access list
4. Enter the IP address with the rule kept as “Single” and press “OK”
The check mark for “Enable access restriction” will be unchecked after this procedure, so
place a check mark there again.
5.5. Precautions regarding the audio upload function
Set the audio codec of the camera to G.711 when performing the streaming of the audio
upload using the Audio upload tool. Streaming is not possible when AAC is selected.
5.6. Precautions regarding the Active X Viewer screen
 The record button and the snapshot button on the Active X Viewer screen will be
grayed out when Internet Explorer is used on Windows Vista. In such a case, execute
Internet Explorer with the administrator privileges.
 Capturing of the still image is not possible when the OS in use is Windows Vista,
Windows 7, or Windows 8, and the Protect Mode is enabled in the Security property
of the Internet Options in the Control Panel.
Use with the Protect Mode disabled.
 Saving of the video is not possible when the OS in use is Windows Vista, Windows 7,
or Windows 8, and the Protect Mode is enabled in the Security property of the
Internet Options in the Control Panel.
Use with the Protect Mode disabled.
5.7. Precaution regarding the JPEG streaming
 Playback with the general player such as VLC is not possible when using the JPEG
streaming in maximum resolution (2560x1920).
 Connection method when using the JPEG streaming with the Active X Viewer will be
fixed to HTTP.

5.8. Precautions regarding the CGI
 The CGI access will be disabled when the 1080p mode is selected in the “Video
codec” → “FOV” setting. Only the fish-eye mode is enabled in the CGI access.
5.9. Precautions regarding the motion detection
 False detection may occur when the setting value of the detection sensitivity is too
high. 90% or less is recommended as the setting for the detection sensitivity. Adjust
the detection sensitivity and the percentage in accordance with what to detect and
the detection area.
6. Known Problem
6.1. Precautions regarding ONVIF
 It may not respond correctly against some of the items when accessing the items with
the ONVIF Device Manager.
6.2. Precautions regarding the CGI command
 The name of the setting value for the AudioInCodec and the
AudioOutSupprtedCodec parameters for the CGI does not match the actual sampling
rate.

The value of NtpInterval when the NtpService parameter set by system.cgi is turned
on will be the default value of 3600 regardless of the value before turning off
NtpService.
6.3. Precautions regarding the camera tampering detection
 Set the “Pre-event recording” due to disruption detection to 9 seconds. Also, when
the screen size is 2560 x 1920 and the frame rate is 8 fps or higher, the image for the
moment of tampering detection may not be recorded with “Pre-event recording”. Set
the image size smaller or set the frame rate smaller than 8 fps.

It will take some time to detect the disruption and the alarm to be sent out when set to
send the alarm for camera disruption detection in alarmdata.cgi.
To record with the client device such as a recorder, secure a sufficiently long time (10
seconds or more) so that the recording at the time of event occurrence is possible.
6.4. Precautions regarding the RTSP digest authentication
 In order to enable the function of the Digest authentication of RTSP, it is necessary to
execute Factory Default.
Perform "Factory default" by the "system" -> "initialize" on the setting menu after
upgrade this software.
