SuccessWare 21 User guide

SuccessWare 21 is a software application that can be run on an iPhone, iPad or Android devices. It allows SuccessWare 21 users who are hosted on the ASP to access their application remotely. To use SuccessWare 21 on a mobile device, you need to download and install the Citrix Receiver app from the App Store for Apple devices or Play Store for Android. Once installed, you can access SuccessWare 21 by logging in with your ASP username and password. SuccessWare 21 offers certain limitations when compared to running on a standard workstation. The SWRemote mobile application (www.swremote.com) is a better option for field service technicians.

If you are a SuccessWare

21 user who is hosted on the ASP, you can run your SuccessWare

21 application on an iPhone, iPad and Android devices.

Note: This process only works for SuccessWare

21 Users who run on the ASP, it will not work for local network users. Local network users may be able to access SuccessWare

21 on their mobile devices using Remote Desktop. For more information contact your local network administrator.

There are some minor limitations when compared with running SuccessWare

21 on a standard workstation, but as a tool that can be used in the field to look up a customer, check a schedule or other activity, it seems to work just fine. This is not a solution intended for field service techs.

For them, the SWRemote Mobile Technician app ( www.swremote.com

) is a better solution.

Please be aware, we do not actively support running SuccessWare

21 on a mobile device, these instructions are simply provided as a convenience.

Setting Up Your Account

In order to run SuccessWare

21 on the ASP on your mobile device you must go to the App

Store for Apple or the Play Store for Android and download the App titled “Citrix Receiver”

1. Open the C

2. In Apple devices select Add Account, on an Android device, select Setup My

3. In the Address field type Citrix.SuccesswareASP.com

Note: On Android devices, be sure that the T YPE field is set to Web Interface (this is the default)

4. Click Next to verify the account and then select Save

Turning on Function Keys

SuccessWare

21 makes heavy use of Function Keys. These keys are not part of the Citrix

Receiver keyboard by default. Before you begin to use SuccessWare

21 on your mobile device you will want to add the Function Keys to you keyboard.

On Android devices you will first need to select the SuccessWareASP account and then touch the Menu button on your device and then select Settings.

2. Select Keyboard Options

- On iPads and Android devices, then select Extended Keys

3. Here, you can choose which keys you would like turned on or off on the keyboard. Turn on the F1-F12 keys.

Launching the Application

1. In the C

App, tap the SuccessWareASP (The default name you may see is Successwareasp Virtual Apps)

Note: On the iPad you will need to touch the “+” on the side of the screen to show your accounts.

2. Type in your regular ASP Username and Password

3. Select the SuccessWare

21 Icon and log in with your User ID and Password

Running SuccessWare

21 will work best when using your device horizontally (that’s sideways)



You can access the Keyboard and other options by selecting the small down arrow at the top of the screen



Select Gestures in this menu for instructions on selecting and dragging in the mobile environment.
