CONNECTING TO THE MICROSCOPE
Once the lamp is installed, the Lumen is ready to be connected to the microscope - see opposite side of guide for lamp installation.
1. Place the Lumen in a safe location and ensure a minimum of 100mm (4 inches) of clearance from obstructions for the fan outputs.
2. Unpack the liquid light guide from the foil packaging and remove both red plastic caps from the light guide.
Note: It is important to remove the red caps before connecting to the light guide to avoid damage on power up.
3. Insert the clamping nut end of light guide into the threaded opening on the front of the Lumen and thread the clamping nut
into the Lumen.
4. Tighten the connector firmly.
5. Loosen the thumb screw on the back of the collimator. Firmly push the light guide into the hole ensuring it has reached its
end stop and tighten the thumb screw.
6. Connect collimator to microscope.
