Click on the 'Wireless Network Connections' icon on the taskbar.

Click on the 'Open Network and Sharing Centre' link located at the bottom of the available network
list.

Click on the 'Setup up a new connection or network' link.

Select 'Manually connect to a wireless network'.
Click Next to continue.

Enter 'eduroam' as the Network Name'.
Select 'WPA2-Enterprise' as the Security Type.
Select 'AES' as the Encryption Type.
Check 'Start this connection automatically' if you would like to automatically connect to the eduroam
network (This step is optional).
Click 'Next' to continue.

Click on the 'Security' tab.
Ensure that the Security type selected is 'WPA2-Enterprise'.
Ensure that the Encryption type is 'AES'.
Click the 'Settings' button.

Un-check 'Validate server certificate' option. Make sure no certificates have been selected.
Click the 'Configure' button.

Un-check 'Automatically use my Windows logon name and password'.
Click 'OK'
Click 'OK' on the Protected EAP Properties window.

Ensure 'Specify authentication mode:' is checked.
Ensure 'User authentication' is selected.
Click 'OK'.
Click 'OK' on the eduroam Wireless Network Properties window.
Click 'Close' on the manually connect to a wireless network window.

Check to make sure you have set up your proxy settings. Open up internet explorer and click on tools from the
list select internet options

Click the ‘LAN Settings’ button

Under the ‘Automatic Configuration’ heading select the check box next to ‘Automatically detect
settings’
Close all windows
Note: Make sure your wireless is turned on.
Note: To complete the following steps you must be in range of the wireless network.

Click on the 'Wireless Network Connections' icon on the taskbar.
