Enter - 99 to exit or enter another function code
You must obtain this code from Bpt. UK. (serial No. req.).
Enter 3 & 9 absolutely simultaneously. Long tone heard.
Enter the special code from Bpt.
Master Code is reset to default 12345 allowing entry into Programme Mode.
KEYPAD TONES:- The keypad will emit long and short tone bursts to indicate correct or incorrect data strings entered during programming. At end of modifying data during any function, if the entry was correct a long tone will be heard, if incorrect three short tones will be heard.
At long tone, you may simply exit program mode by entering 99 or enter another function code.
At 3 short tones, you will automatically be returned to ‘in program mode’ status, simply start the function again.
06 - KEYPAD PENALTY TIME:- The Keypad will lock out for this time period, if after 20 key inputs, any correct User code has not been entered. This has the benefit of being able to hide the 4 digit code among a string of 16 other inputs, preventing onlookers from obtaining the code if entered as only 4 inputs, (as occurs with Bank ATM’s etc.).
08 - RELAY MODE:- The relay output mode for Door 1 & 2 is pre - set to monostable, that is will energise and deenergise after the set time. The bistable setting will alter the relay mode such that a code input will energise it and it will stay energised, entering any User code thereafter assigned to that relay 1 or 2 will de-energise it.
09 - DURESS ALARM:- When set to Enabled, if a User enters * before his code, relay 1 will energise to release the door, also relay 2 will energise and can be used to signal an alarm, alerting others to door opened under duress. Note that this function can only be used if relay 2 is not in use as a 2nd door opener or for Visitor Bell function.
10 - VISITOR BELL:- When set to Enabled, if the Visitor presses * key, then relay 2 will energise for 3 seconds, enabling interface to a bell or buzzer. See note at end of Duress above.
11 - RTE INHIBIT:- When set to Disabled, any RTE push button connected is prevented from operating. The default is set for Enabled.
12 - KEYPAD INHIBIT:- When set to Disabled, the keypad is prevented from Door opening when user codes are entered. This function may be used for weekend prevention of entry for instance.
13 - ALARM RESET:- This function code must be entered whenever function 09 is used in conjunction with relay 2 output. The relay will latch into Alarm on Duress code entry, function 13 will reset the Alarm State.
ADDITIONAL USEFUL FUNCTION - (WHEN IN NORMAL OPERATING MODE)
Whenever a User Code is entered, if the # key is pressed prior to Door release time ceasing, the relevant Door relay 1 or 2 will be held energised. Entering the code at any later stage will de-energise the relay. This function is useful for automatic gates / barriers etc. where continuous open state may be required for any period during the day. Users should be aware that the function may be used with DC. continuously rated strikes, but not with AC devices.
‘VERY QUICK’ START INSTRUCTIONS
The following instructions relate to Keypad supplied from new only.
The Keypad enables up to 100 user codes to be assigned to open Door 1 or 2.
At time of first installation, 2 codes are already pre-assigned for this purpose, additionally a Master/Engineer code is assigned.
If you simply wish to change these pre-assigned codes to your users preferred codes, follow strictly as set out below.
NOTE:
WHEN USING A 5 DIGIT CODE - THE MAXIMUM USEABLE No. IS 65535, THUS YOU CANNOT USE eg. 98765 or 99999 etc.
Once powered up, Press Keys 1 & 7 Absolutely Simultaneously -
A long tone must be heard. Then enter Master code 12345
Top Green Led should now be Pulsing. currently 2580
To change this:
Enter - 03
Enter - 2580
Enter - 02
Enter - 1
Enter - xxxx (new code)
Enter - 99
New code must be 4 digits only
Door 2 Code is currently 3690
To change this:
Enter - 03
Enter - 3690
Enter - 02
Enter - 2
Enter - xxxx (new code)
Enter - 99
New code must be 4 digits only
Master Code is
Currently 12345
To change this:
Enter - 01
Enter - xxxxx (new code)
Enter - 99
New Code must be 5 digits only and cannot exceed 65535.
Always use this new Master code to enter the Engineer programming mode.
If you input a digit in the wrong place or get lost in the programming, we suggest you enter 99 three times. This should exit you from the program mode (Green LED not pulsing). Start again from 1 & 7 simultaneously.
If the long tone is heard after 1 & 7, but 12345 does not start the Green LED pulsing, this suggests the Master Code 12345 has been changed.
