This will remove the bottom tool bar on the content editor, which allows users to embed images, video, and attachments. When requiring Kaltura use by students, provide them with supporting documentation to help them learn how to use this tool. For ease of use when combining text and embedded media, add and format text before using Kaltura to embed media in the content editor. Before adding any copyrighted material to your Kaltura media, please contact the CityU Library for guidance on use of copyrighted digital media. Kaltura inserts a table with a media file’s descriptive information along with the media file wherever it is embedded. To remove the table, highlight it and delete it from the content editor. Media added to a course via the Kaltura Media Mashup tool is viewable by all users in the course, but is not published (available in the Media Gallery) or reusable to other members of the course. To publish videos to the courses Media Gallery, please review the Kaltura Media Gallery tutorial. The Video Presentation and Screen Recording tools are not working at this time and should be avoided by instructors and students. e-Learning Department bbsupport@cityu.edu Last updated September 15, 2016 Page 12
