Quick Guide to Media Export
1. Open the Surveillance Client software and click the Media Player as shown below
2. Time Selection – you need to select the time and date to begin your video backup. You can either select a
pre-configured time or customized your date and time selection.

3. Click “Open Media Session”
4. Select “Screen Style” – this determines how many camera windows will be used on your backup.
5. Click “Objects” bar as shown on step 4 to begin selecting camera numbers for video backup.
Digifort allows simultaneous and synchronized viewing and exportation of video of various cameras.
The choice of the screen style becomes an important option for viewing of the necessary cameras. General
Object window will pop up on the screen where you can begin selecting the cameras for playback. Simply double
click the camera from the list as shown below:
There are two “View Mode” to select where a camera are sorted by server (Physical Organization) or simply shows
all cameras on the list (Objects organization).

6. Click “Media Exporting” icon as shown below:

7. Select the cameras for export. By selecting more than one camera the videos will be viewed simultaneously and
synchronized. Cameras listed on this box are the cameras you have selected from the previous menu at step 5.
8. Time Selection – you need to select the time and date to begin your video backup.
9. “Exported Video Format” – select the video format.
Digifort Native - This is the recommended video format, as an exact copy of the system‟s data bank is
exported. W ith this type of export the system automatically creates a media with a video player identical
to that shown in the previous topic, including all functionalities and the video authenticity watermark. The
system automatically divides the video into several configurable- sized parts so that several CDs or DVDs
can be recorded. In this format, ( as many videos as needed) can be exported to the same directory
b e c a u s e the system will automatically divides the size of the media. The videos can also be viewed
simultaneously using the Digifort player.
AVI – this format is not highly recommended because it will have a much bigger file size and may
need to have a video codec installed on your PC before you can use a third -party AVI player such
as windows Media player. This format will also lose its authenticity watermark making it not
acceptable in many court of law.
10. Click “Export” – this will bring up a new screen asking you where to save the video backup files

Select where you want to export to and click on OK!
If export is selected in the Digifort format, a window will open requesting identification data for the
video, as shown in the picture below:
If export is selected in the AVI format, a window will open to configure the video compression as
illustrated in the picture below:

After configuring the export data, click on OK and the bar will show the export progress:
Below the bar will show the time remaining for export as shown in the picture below:
If the video is exported successfully, a dialogue box is shown:
