Installation and Operating Instructions for the iAdapter2™ Remove the 9 (nine) screws from the back of the iAdapter™ as shown in the picture below. Note : A number ‘2’ Philips head screw driver is required to remove and install the industrial grade Philips head screws used. Connect the stereo plug from the iAdapter™ into the headset jack of the iPad®. Place the iPad® into the iAdapter™ and line up the reset button of the iPad® with the reset button of the iAdapter™ as shown in the picture to the right. Place the top housing cover face down on a flat surface. Place the Home button cover you want to use in the slot of the iAdapter housing as shown in the picture to the right. Place the top housing of the iAdapter™ over the iPad® and make the home button cover can slide in the tracks of the top housing of the iAdapter™. Also align the top housing of the iAdapter™ with the bottom housing of the iAdapter™. Carefully hold both the top and the bottom housing of the iAdapter™ together and then turn it over onto a flat surface. Replace the 9 (nine) screws that will hold the iAdapter™ together. Designed by AMDi or www.amdi.net Installation and Operating Instructions for the iAdapter2™ Adjusting the volume on the iAdapter™: The volume control on the iAdapter™ is different from the volume control on the iPad®. The volume control on the iAdapter™ only changes the volume from the amplifier inside the iAdapter™ which is plugged into the headset jack of the iPad®. To change the volume from the amplifier on the iAdapter™, slide the volume control switch to either OFF, Low or High. (Refer to the picture to the right. Note : Set the Volume Control switch to the OFF position while not in use to conserve battery power. The battery is still draining power while the iPad® is in the sleep mode or OFF. Charging the battery inside the iAdapter™: The charging jack on the iAdapter™ only charges the battery inside the iAdapter™ for the amplifier. To charge the battery inside the iPad®, you need to plug the cable supplied with your iPad® into the charging port of your iPad®. Plug the USB cable supplied with the iAdapter™ into the USB Charger Input jack on the side of the iAdapter™ (see picture at right). Plug the other end of the USB cable into the USB Charger supplied with the iAdapter™ and then plug the charging adapter in a wall socket. The Charger LED on the side of the iAdapter™ will light RED. When the Charger LED changes to GREEN the battery is fully charged. It is recommended that you slide the volume control switch to the OFF position for the battery to be fully charged properly. Connecting a headset to the iAdapter™: iAdapter™ Charger & LED iPad® charging port USB Cable USB Charger Plug your headset into the jack labeled Phone Jack on the iAdapter™ (see picture to the right). When you plug your headset into the Phone Jack of the iAdapter™ all audio will be played into the headset and not through the speakers on the back of the iAdapter™. Designed by AMDi www.amdi.net
