Frequently Asked Questions
What channel do I set my TV to now?
What type of guide is available?
If you connected your Adapter with Coax cable, set your
TV and Adapter to Channel 3. If you connected with an
HDMI cable, make sure your TV is set to the correct input.
A basic guide is available on channel 90. To see a
complete channel line-up list visit GVTC.com.
Is there a special way to turn my TV on and
off with the Adapter?
Yes, after programming your remote press the red button
for TV on the remote.
Is there a difference between a Digital
set-top box and a Digital Adapter?
Yes, a Digital set-top box uses digital signals to give access
to On Demand channels, TV Caller ID and the Interactive
Guide to allow purchases like events and movies. An
Adapter just changes the signal into a viewable format for
your TV.
Where can I find the channels in my digital
package?
Just go to gvtc.com and click on cable packages to find
your channels in your digital package.
5
Will I be able to view the same channels on
the DTA as I do with my other boxes?
Yes. The DTA does not support added electronics, such as
Gamebox, Wii, etc., DVR functions (record, pause, fast
forward, stop, or save) Video On Demand, Pay Per View or
an interactive guide.
What type of installation is required?
There are two methods of installation.
1. Self-Installation: If you are replacing an existing cable
box you may opt to visit a GVTC Customer Care Store
to pick up the DTA and follow the easy to use
self-installation booklet. When unable to activate the
DTA it may require an installation visit and charges
may apply.
2. Scheduled installation: visit by a GVTC technician
(charges may apply).
