Wiring the MN01-DTMF Communicator
and Programming the Panel
Wiring the MN01-DTMF to the Alarm Panel
*IN1 and OUT1 – optional terminals for the remote arm/disarm feature

Connect RED wire to terminal AUX PWR+

Connect GREY wire to terminal COM-

Connect GREEN wire to terminal R ( panel phone line ring )

Connect YELLOW wire to terminal T ( panel phone line tip )

Connect WHITE wire to PGM Output 1

Connect ORANGE wire to the desired trigger zone input terminal ( In this case Zone 1 )
Programming the Alarm Panel
To enter the Program Mode, press [*]-[8] and the Program Code.
The default programming code is [9]-[7]-[1]-[3]
If the Program Code is valid, the "Service" LED will flash and the five function LEDs will illuminate steadily. This will
indicate that you are in Program Mode.
Configuring the Telephone Communicator of the Alarm Panel
1. Enter [*][8][9][7][1][3][0][#] to program the telephone number and set tone dialing:
-
[0][#] to program a particular module
[0] – address 0 is for programming the Alarm Panel
Program [15][1][2][3][4][5][6][14][14][14][14][14][14][14][14][14][14][14][14][14]
[15] to set “tone dialing”
to set the phone number “123456”
[1][2][3][4][5][6] – to set the phone number 123456
[14] – to fill in the empty segments other the end of the telephone number
NOTE: It’s mandatory to have 15 in the beginning for tone dialing!!! 14 indicates the end of the telephone number.
2. Enter [1][#] to program the account code that will be send by the telephone dialer
Program [1][1][1][1][10][10][*]
- [1][1][1][1] to program an account code “1111”
- [10] – Fill with „10" in the segments after the last digit of the account code.
- [*] to save
3. Enter [2][#] to set the communication format:
Program [13][*]
- [13] for Contact ID
- [*] to save
4. Enter [3][#] to set the number of the dialing attempts
Check if the default settings are configured:
For Segment 1:
[8] – the number of the dialing attempts that the dialer makes to phone 1 before ending the communication
process
For Segment 2 (backup of phone 1):
[1] - Make panel stop trying after the designated number of attempts have been made to phone #1
Press [*] to save and exit this address and program the next one
5. Enter [4][#]
In Segment 1 program [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][*] to allow the reporting of the desired events from Segment 1:
1. Alarms and alarm restores.
2. Opening and closings
3. Zone bypass and bypass restore
4. Zone trouble and trouble restores
5. Power fail, low battery, power restore, and low battery restore
6. Bell cut, telephone line cut, bell cut restore, telephone line restore
7. Test reports
8. Start and end programming, download complete
[*] to save and go on the next segment
In Segment 2 program [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][*] to allow the reporting of the desired events from Segment 2:
1. Zone and box tamper and tamper restore.
2. Auxiliary power overcurrent, ground fault, and restore both
3. Sensor missing and restore
4. Sensor low battery and restore
5. Expander trouble and restore
6. Fail to communicate
7. Zone activity monitor
8. Reserved
Press [*] to save
6. Enter [23][#]
By pressing [*] two times navigate to Segment 3.
The important option is Option 1. Activate it by pressing [1][*]
[1] – If this option is ON the Opening and Closing reports are enabled
[*] to save
Configuring the Keyswitch Zone of the Alarm Panel
Enter [25][#] to set a zone as a Keyswitch Zone.
Each segment from 1 to 8 is assigned to Zones 1 to 8.
In our example we will set Zone 1 as a Keyswitch Zone. If you want to set a different zone, navigate to the zone
by pressing [*] as much times as the zone number
Enter [11][*]
[11] to set the zone type for zone 1 – in our case Keyswitch Zone
[*] to save
Enter [26][#] to assign the Keyswitch Zone to Partition 1-8
Each segment from 1 to 8 is assigned to Partitions 1 to 8
In our example we will assign Zone 1 to arm/disarm Partition 1. Multiple partitions are not supported when you
Arm/Disarm via Keyswitch.
Activate Segment 1 that corresponds to Partition 1
Press [*] to save
Configuring the Digital Output of the Alarm Panel
Enter [45][#] to select the partition on which the Output 1 will activate
Enter [*] to navigate to Segment 1- Segment 1 is assigned to Output 1
Activate Partition 1
Enter [*] to save
Enter [47][#] to program the event on which Output 1 of the Alarm Panel will activate
Press [21] to choose “Armed state”. This will configure the output to activate when the panel is armed.
Press [*] to navigate to Segment 2
Press [0] to make the output follow the event
Press [*] to save
Enter [46][#] to configure the condition of Output 1
Segment 1 corresponds to Output 1
All the eight options should be set to OFF:
1 = On if output should be timed in minutes; Off if timed in seconds.
2 = On if output should latch; Off if output should be timed.
3 = On if output should stop timing upon code entry; Off if the output should continue to time upon code entry.
4 = On if output should only activate between the closing and opening time in loc. 52 and 53.
5 = On if output should only activate between the opening and closing time in loc. 52 and 53.
6 = On if output should be inverted (0 volts going to 12 volts when activated).
7 = Reserved.
8 = Reserved.
Press [*] - to save
Press [#] - to exit from the programming menu
Press [Exit] – to exit from the module programming
Press [Exit] – to exit from the programming menu
