User Interface Features
Ring Tone via Speaker During Active Calls Feature Compatibility
As with previous releases, the parameter “ring audibly enable” can be used to configure the IP phones to play the ring tone of an incoming call via the phone’s speaker
while in an active call or if a user is in the process of dialing out.
With the parameter enabled, if a user is in an active call on an extension, and the
phone receives a call for the same or different extension, the incoming call will be represented by the call’s ring tone being played through the speaker as well as the
respective line’s LED flashing. This is also the case if a user is in the process of dialing
out to a remote number and the phone receives a call for any line other than the line
that is being used to dial out. When the phone exits the ringing state (e.g. the incoming call is answered), the tone device of the phone will revert back to originally configured audio device.
With Release 3.3.1 SP2 HF4, changes have been made to the ring tone via speaker during active calls feature affecting audio mode compatibility and support on the respective IP phones. The following table outlines the compatibility and support details for
this feature in Release 3.3.1 SP2 HF4.

The following table provides the issue number and a brief description of each fix.
Note:
Unless specifically indicated, these resolved issues apply to all phone models.
Issues Resolved
Issue Number
Description of Fix
Configuration
ENH36065/CLN36496
9480i, 9480i CT, 6739i, 6755i, 6757i, 6757i CT, & M675i Expansion Module:
With Release 3.3.1 SP2 HF4, it is now possible to define custom softkey labels
for the Call Forward, Do Not Disturb, and Last Call Return softkey types.
DEF35533/CLN36346
6753i, 6755i, 6757i, & 6757i CT: In certain scenarios utilizing the VLAN feature,
users were unable to access the Web UI of a phone using a PC connected to the
PC port of another phone, as was expected. This issue has been resolved.
SIP
DEF35722/CLN36732
When using the phone in conjunction with the Aastra 5000 call manager, an
issue was observed whereby BLF subscription messages were not being sent
by the phone if a user logged out and subsequently logged back in to his/her
SIP account. This issue has been corrected.
DEF36598/CLN36748
After a number of successful attended call transfers, users were unable to successfully transfer calls due to a SIP NOTIFY handling issue. This issue has been
resolved.
DEF33147/CLN36850
A stability issue was observed in certain call scenarios when using the phone
in conjunction with the sipXecs call manager. This issue has been fixed.
User Interface
DEF34317/CLN36352
With the Do Not Disturb (DND) feature enabled and the Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) LED (i.e. solid red), if the phone received a new voicemail message,
the MWI LED did not start to blink (indicating a pending voicemail) as was
expected. This issue has been resolved and the voicemail message now takes
MWI LED priority over DND in such situations.
XML
DEF34175/CLN36731
8
When using the phone with the Aastra 5000 call manager, configuring the
“softkeyN ring splash” parameter using an XML script did not dynamically
apply the change. A reboot was required before the change took affect. This
issue has been fixed.
