Note:
1. It is suggested to use #22~26 AWG insulation wire.
2. It is suggested to use a linear power supply unit to prevent reading range reduction at the card
reader.
3. The door strike or relay must have a varistor or a diode across the door strike terminals to
suppress the back EMF of the strike – failure to do so will damage the relay contacts and
electronic components, or even burns the controller.
4. Exit button is at N.O. contact.

1. Read master card three times (with no more than 2 seconds time delay)
2. Yellow, Red LED stay on 3 seconds
3. Yellow, Red LED flash, enter clearing memory mode
4. Read any EM-400x 64-bit R/O compatible card except Master Card
5. Rapid Green LED flash

2. Yellow LED stay on 3 seconds
3. Yellow LED flash, enter opening time setting mode.
Each flash indicates the opening time is 0.7 second. If the opening time is set to 5 seconds, after
flash 7 times, read the master card once.
4. Yellow LED stay on, back to standby mode.
Note: The longest opening time is 42 seconds (flash 60 times). After flashing 60 times, the Yellow
LED will stay on, back to standby mode.
Ⅵ. TS-980 Tag Simulator (optional)
The TS-980 Tag Simulator allows adding and removing any card/tag number from the reader memory
when the tag is lost or not available. One unit can be utilized at different sites but for security reasons it
will operate only in conjunction with the Master Card.
The Tag Simulator / Programmer cannot be used to gain access. It will only operate together with the
reader's MASTER card.
