Software updates
Before a new rack is used the first time, ensure that the latest software is installed:
•
UNICORN™ 6.1 or later. Contact your local GE Healthcare representantive for software
update.
•
ÄKTA avant Instrument Configurations:
- version 2.1, or later for ÄKTA avant 25
- version 1.1, or later for ÄKTA avant 150
These are mandatory when using Rack for 250 ml bottles, and recommended when

Note: If using other tubes or bottles, ensure that they fulfil the requirements above.
Also make sure they fit properly into the rack, can not tip, stand steadily on the
bottom plate, and have a wide opening.
Fraction collector
The maximum flow rate is 150 ml/min for the Fraction collector when using 50 ml tubes
or 250 ml bottles.
Note: The Cassette tray shall not be used in the Frac drawer when using Rack for 50 ml
tubes or Rack for 250 ml bottles. A cassette tray is integrated in their design.

User Manual:

Cleaning the rack
When required, clean the rack with water (max 60°C) and a mild cleaning agent.
Note: The type code must be handled with care when the rack is cleaned.
Note: It is not recommended to disassemble the tray for the cleaning.
