Note: This removal voids IEC1010-1* electrical safety standards.

These Bio-Rad electrophoresis power cables are joined
together by a tie-bar that insures compliance to the international IEC1010-1 electrical safety standard. However, the tiebar on the cables can be removed in order to fit power supplies that do not conform to IEC1010-1 regulations. The tiebar is removed by cutting the four retention tabs from the
cable leads and sliding off the bar. Removal of the retention
tabs is permanent and voids the IEC1010-1 safety certification.
