Best Practices
• Drivers must login to begin their log and logout to end their log
• Drivers must logout for the weekly reset and daily end of shift
• Turn the ignition switch on prior to login
• Once the driver starts the login process the vehicle must remain stationary until
complete
• The driver must sign the logs electronically at beginning of each shift, for
previous shift(s)
• Do not sign logs when in the Sleeper Berth duty status; the unit may change the
active driver’s status
• Turn the tablet off using the power button on upper right at the end of each shift

driver in Driving (Drv) status
Tablet will lock when vehicle in motion
When the vehicle comes to a complete stop for 5 minutes, the status will automatically
change from Driving (Drv) to On Duty Not Driving (OnD)
Change status to Off Duty (Off) to begin a Mandatory 30 Minute Rest Break
NOTE: to end Mandatory 30 Minute Rest Break begin driving or manually change duty status
