ROLLEI ACTIONCAM 430
Before using the Rollei Actioncam 430, please
ensure you read and understand the safety
precautions.
-Do not attempt to open the case of the camera
or modify it in any way. If the camera has been
opended, the warranty will be void. Maintenance
and repairs can only be performed by Rollei.
-Keep the camera away from water and other
liquids (unless used in the waterproof case).
-Do not handle the Rollei Actioncam 430 with wet
hands (unless used in the waterproof case). This
may cause the camera to malfunction.
Recharge the battery using the micro USB
connector.
-Any variation to voltage or current will cause the
camera to fail.
-The Rollei Actioncam 430 should not be used in
heat exceeding 60 C (140F), or cold below -15C
(5F).
-Do not drop the Rollei Actioncam 430.
-Avoid placing heavy objects on the Rollei
Actioncam 430.
-Do not dispose of this unit in domestic waste.
GETTING STARTED
This user manual will help you learn the basics
of capturing life’s most incredible moments!
To power ON:
Press the Power/Mode Button.
To power OFF:
Press and hold the Power/Mode Button.
OVERVIEW
Turn the camera ON and press the Power/Mode
Button repeatedly to cycle through the camera
modes and settings. The modes will appear in the
following order:
Video
Photo
Burst Photo
Time Lapse Video Playback,
Photo Playback,
& Settings

Record Video
Photo
Capture a single photo.
Burst Photo
Time Lapse
Capture photo bursts
Shoot a series of photos
at set time intervals

Adjust camera settings,
resolution and more.
SETTINGS
Press the Shutter/Select Button to enter the
settings menu. Repeatedly press the Power/Mode
Button to cycle through options and press the
Shutter/Select Button to select desired option. To
go back to the previous screen or exit the settings
menu, press the Wi-Fi Button.

VIDEO MODE
Video
To record Video, verify the camera is in Video
mode. If the Video icon on your camera’s LCD
screen is not showing, press the Power/Mode
Button repeatedly until it appears.
To start recording:
Press the Shutter/Select Button. The camera will
emit one beep and start recording.
To stop recording:
Press the Shutter/Select Button. The Camera
emits one beep to indicate recording has stopped.
This camera automatically stops recording when
the battery is out of power. Your Video will be
saved before the camera powers OFF.
PHOTO MODE
Photo
To capture a Photo, verify the camera is in Photo
mode. If the Photo icon on your camera’s LCD
screen is not showing, press the Power/
Mode Button repeatedly until it appears.
To take a photo:
Press the Shutter/Select Button. The camera will
emit the camera shutter sound.
BURST PHOTO MODE
Burst Photo
To capture a Burst Photo series, verify the camera
is in Burst Photo mode. If the Burst Photo icon on
your camera’s LCD screen is not shown, press the
Power/Mode Button repeatedly until it appears.
In Burst Photo mode, your camera takes 3
photos/1 sec, 7 photos/2 sec, 15 photos/4 sec, or 30
photos/8 sec.
To take a Burst Photo series:
Press the Shutter/Select Button. The camera will
emit camera shutter sounds.
TIME LAPSE MODE
Time Lapse
To capture a Time Lapse series, verify the Time
Lapse is ON and camera is in Time Lapse mode. If
the Time Lapse icon on your camera’s LCD screen
is not shown, press the Power/Mode Button
repeatedly until it appears. In Time Lapse mode,
your camera captures a series of photos at
3,5,10,20,30 or 60 second intervals.
To take Time Lapse:
Press the Shutter/Select Button. The camera
initiates a countdown and emits the camera
shutter sound each time a Photo is taken.
3.Use Power/Mode Button to cycle through
the various options.
4.Press the Shutter/Select Button.
5.To return to the Playback menu, press
the Wi-Fi Button.
BATTERY
To charge the battery
For charging the battery, we recommend to use an
USB charger with 1.5A charging current.
*Charging Time: 3 hours.
*You can NOT record or take photos while charging
the camera.

Playing Back Videos and Photos
To enter the Playback menu:
1.Press the Power/Mode Button
to select Video or Photo.
2.Press the Shutter/Select Button to enter
the Playback menu.

Video
To record Video, verify the camera is in Video mode.
To start recording:
Press the Video Button. The camera will emit one
beep and the Camera Light will flash while
recording.
To stop recording:
Press the Video Button again. The camera will emit
one beep and the Camera Light will stop flashing
while recording.
Photo
To capture a Photo, verify the camera is in Photo mode.
To take a photo:
Press the Photo Button. The camera will emit a
camera shutter sound.
Burst Photo
To capture a Burst Photo series, verify the camera is
in Burst Photo mode.
To take a Burst Photo series:
Press the Photo Button. The camera will emit
camera shutter sounds.
Time Lapse
To capture a Time Lapse series, verify the Continuous
Lapse is ON and camera is in Time Lapse mode.
To take Time Lapse:
Press the Photo Button. The camera initiates
countdown and emits a camera shutter sound each
time a Photo is taken.
*To power OFF camera:
Press and hold the Photo Button.
CAMERA APP
Connecting to the Rollei 430 App
Rollei 430 App video formats:
4K30/2K50/1080p100/1080p60/720p120
(The Rollei 430 App does NOT support
2K60/1080p120/720p200 formats of your camera.
Therefore, you can’t see these formats on the app. )
The Rollei 430 App lets you control your camera
remotely using a smartphone or tablet. Features
include full camera control, live preview, photo
playback and sharing of select content and
more.
1. Download the Rollei 430 App to your
smartphone or tablet at the Google Play or
Apple App Store.
2. Press the Power/Mode Button to power
camera ON.
3. Make sure the camera is in Camera modes.
4. Press the Wi-Fi Button to turn on Wi-Fi*.
5. In your smartphone or tablet’s Wi-Fi settings,
connect to the network called “Rollei430”
followed by a series of numbers.
6. Open the Rollei 430 App on your smartphone
or tablet.
* Press and hold the Wi-Fi Button for three seconds
to turn OFF Wi-Fi.
Press the Shutter/Select Button to enter the
settings menu. Repeatedly press the Power/-

COMPATIBILITY
* Compatibility varies by device. Content playback,
sharing and access to the camera's memory card
might be not available on some devices.
SET THE DATE/TIME
Your camera’s date and time are automatically set
when you connect your camera to the Rollei 430 App.
If the battery is removed from the camera, you must
reset the date and time (automatically or manually).
STORAGE/MICROSD CARDS
This camera is compatible with 32GB and 64GB
capacity microSDXC memory cards. Be sure to use a
microSDXC card with at least a U3 (90MB/s) speed
rating and format your card using the camera before
first use.
MICROSD CARD CONSIDERATIONS
We strongly recommend only purchasing
name brand cards through official resellers.
