Advanced Installation Instructions
For setup on computers connected to a router or wireless router with a free port on the router.
Directions:
1) Turn off your computer, unplug the power cord from your cable/DSL modem and the power cord from your router.
2) Take the Lingo provided GREEN Ethernet cable and connect one end into the "WAN" port on the Lingo phone adaptor.
Connect the other end of the GREEN Ethernet cable into a free port on your router.
3) Now you can take any standard analog phone and plug the phone cords jack into the "PHONE1" port. (Lingo has also provided
two Complimentary "tan" analog telephone lines for your use if required.)
4) Plug your cable/DSL modem back in and power it on. Wait for at least 2 minutes for it to start up.
5) Plug your router back in and power it on. Wait for at least 2 minutes for it to start up.
6) Connect the Lingo provided power cord and Lingo provided AC adaptor together. Then plug it into the power port on the Lingo
phone adaptor and plug into an electrical outlet. This turns your Lingo phone adaptor on. (Note: You do not need to unplug it
when not in use.)
7) Check that the power light on the Lingo phone adaptor is lit. Wait 5-10 minutes for the Lingo phone adaptor to start up.
Important: Do not interrupt this process by unplugging the power or lifting the receiver on your phone during the startup process. Interruption of
the start up may result in interruption of the service. The Lingo phone adaptor is ready to make calls when the "VoIP" light is on. If the Lingo
phone adapter is in a state where the "Voip", "Phone 1" and "Phone 2" lights are blinking in rapid succession, this means that new firmware is
being downloaded to the unit. Do not interrupt this by picking up the phone. Wait until these lights stop blinking before going to the next step.

Turn on your computer. Your Internet connection should work as it did before you installed the Lingo phone adaptor.
Pick up your handset and listen for a dial tone. If you hear a dial tone you have successfully completed installation and may
begin making calls.

Directions:
1) Turn your computer off and unplug the power cord for your cable/DSL modem.
2) There is an Ethernet cable that connects your computer to your cable/DSL modem, disconnect this Ethernet cable from the
back of your computer and then plug it into the "WAN" port of the Lingo phone adaptor.
3) Take the Lingo provided GREEN Ethernet cable and connect one end into the "ENET" port on the Lingo phone adaptor.
Connect the other end of the GREEN Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on your Computer.
4) Now you can take any standard analog phone and plug the phone cords jack into the "PHONE1" port. (Lingo has also provided
two Complimentary "tan" analog telephone lines for your use if required.)
5) Plug your cable/DSL modem back in and power it on. Wait for at least 2 minutes for it to start up.
