General
Mounting the camera
This high performance camera employs a 1/ 2 inch CCD
(charged coupled device) picture element of 290,000 pixels,
allowing high precision/quality image reproduction with low
residual image and free from burning or image distortion. It
may be used in most industrial and security applications due to
its superior performance and reliability; it has been designed to
have high immunity to electromagnetic fields, good
vibration/anti-shock characteristics, and to be virtually
maintenance free. This unit also features:
C/CS mount lens compatibility
Electronic shutter and auto iris
Very good low light and IR response
External sync input
Quick termination
Standard tripod mount (1/4 inch - 20 UNC)
The camera may be mounted by using the standard 1/2 inch 20 UNC bush located on its base.
For internal mounting, it is recommended that the RS miniature
mounting bracket be used.
For external mounting, the unit must be mounted within an
environmentally protected housing as supplied by RS
Components.

Lenses
This camera may be used with either standard or auto iris
lenses to enhance the unitÕs image capabilities, C or CS mount
types, depending on system/cost performance requirement see the CCTV section within the current RS catalogue for detail
of the lenses available.

Mounting of lens
This camera can be fitted with either C or CS mount lenses. To
change the lens fitting proceed as follows.
1. Remove the three screws that hold the mounting conversion ring.
2. Loosen the two hexagon headed screws in the side of the
conversion ring with the key provided. For a CS mount lens
the central threaded sleeve should be fitted and for a C
mount lens it should be removed.
3. For CS mount lenses only - retighten the two hexagon
screws onto the flat portions of the central threaded sleeve.
4. Refit the conversion ring in the correct orientation as shown
in figure 1.
5. If focus adjustment is required for the CS mount lens, loosen
the two hexagon screws and adjust the position of the
conversion ring.
6. Retighten the hexagon screws.

The wire colour for auto iris lenses are generally:
Black
Ground (0V)
White Video drive signal
Red
Auto iris supply (12V )
Screen Ground (0V)
If the wire colours do not follow these colours please consult
the lens manufacturerÕs data sheets.
Video output and external synchronisation input connections
are via standard 75½ BNC terminals. It is recommended that
URM70 or similar low loss cable be used for video signals.

Technical specification
Image device
The electronic iris and shutter function allow clear video
reproduction of rapidly moving objects.
F.L.:- This indicates ÒFlickerlessÓ. When setting the camera to
this value, the flicker caused by the shooting under fluorescent
lamp lighting in the area where the 50Hz power is used can be
eliminated.
AUTO:- This adjusts automatically to the subject brightness
to give the correct exposure even when a manual iris lens is
used.
