OVERVIEW:
The Sightmark Solitude Binocular features fully multi-coated lenses, which provides maximum light transmission
and optimal brightness, so any outdoorsman or sports aficionado can explore and enjoy his or her surroundings
to the fullest.
Featuring Bak-4 roof prisms, the Solitude Binoculars are equipped with superior glass for a clearer and better
quality image. The Bak-4 roof prism system features a straight through light system, which achieves better light
transmission and allows for a more compact design. From early dawn to late dusk, the optimum color fidelity and
clarity of image enhances any viewing experience, while a generously long eye relief provides comfortable viewing.
The twist up eye cups on the binoculars provides a custom fit and helps correct eye relief, even for individuals who
wear eye glasses.
The Sightmark Solitude binoculars boasts a rugged, yet lightweight, rubber armored body that is nitrogen filled
and O-ring sealed, making it waterproof and fog proof. Featuring dust proof construction, the Sightmark Solitude
binoculars are highly durable for a lifetime of use.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:
Before handling the binoculars, read and understand the contents of the manual. Follow all standard safety precautions
and procedures during use of the binoculars.
The binoculars are nitrogen purged and o-ring sealed, DO NOT disassemble the binoculars for any reason as this will
void the warranty. Any internal work should be handled by the manufacturer. Any tampering with the assembly will
void the warranty.

ADJUSTING THE INTERPUPILLARY DISTANCE
Interpupillary distance is the distance between your eye’s pupils. In order to obtain a single image, the center of the
binocular’s eyepieces (1) must be set the same distance apart as your eye’s pupils.
To set the interpupillary distance:
1) Look through the binoculars with both eyes.
2) Rotate the binoculars gradually until the two images become one.
FOCUSING ADJUSTMENT:
Focusing adjustment is necessary to view objects at different distances.
To adjust focusing:
1) Look through the binoculars with both eyes at a distant object.
2) Rotate the focus ring (3) until the image is crisp and sharp.
SETTING THE DIOPTER ADJUSTMENT
The diopter adjustment (4) of the binoculars is important to provide a sharp image and avoid eye strain.
Readjusting the diopter adjustment is not necessary if the binoculars are operated by only one user.
To set the diopter adjustment:
1) Look through the left eyepiece with the left eye at a distant object.
2) Rotate the focus ring (3) until the object is in focus.
3) Look through the right eyepiece with the right eye at the same object.
4) Rotate the diopter adjustment until the same object is in focus
6
ADJUSTING THE TWIST-UP EYECUPS
The adjustable twist-up eyecups provide a custom fit for proper
eye relief and fit for eyeglass wearers and non-eyeglass wearers.
To adjust the twist up eyecups:
1) Rotate the eyecup of the eyepiece (1) counterclockwise to
extend the eyecup. The eyecup will click into first position.
2) Rotate again to engage the eyecup in the second and final
position.
3) Select the position that provides correct relief and comfort.
4) Rotate the eyecup of the eyepiece (1) clockwise to retract
the eyecup.
TRIPOD MOUNTING
All Sightmark Solitude binoculars include a 1/4” tripod socket (7) to mount with an adapter for use with a tripod.
To attach the binoculars to a tripod:
1) Unscrew the tripod socket (7) cover counter clockwise and remove.
2) Screw a tripod mount bracket adapter into the threaded socket.
3) Attach the tripod adapter to the tripod.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Proper maintenance of the binocular is recommended to ensure longevity. It is recommended that when the binocular
becomes dirty that it is wiped down with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Blow dirt and debris off all optics and then clean lenses
with a lens cleaning cloth. No further maintenance is required.
